  1. i think we shoulkd also cut down the P slots to 2. 4 is too many. and maybe have one less bench spot. that way you force people to be more focused instead of stashing players.
  2. I'm ok with that provided there is a weekly innings pitched mimimum of at least 20-25 to ensure that noone tries to stack their lineup with relivers and closers. I think with 5 or six pitchign slots, the minimum is easily attainable if you have a "normal" rotation of starters with relievers.
  3. I want to point out that by doing this, you eliminate the importance of starting pitching as 5 out of the 6 pitching categories are dominated by closers and relief pitchers.
  4. Brooklyn Yankees is here in the house ready to defend his championship title from last year! Unlike ARod, I didn't choke in the clutch!
  5. is that a record for arbitration? 12.4 mil sounds like a lot
  6. I thought Pap Smear went to the starting rotation because of his burning desire to be a starter?
  7. sore legs!!! sore legs!! i've played 3rd base for 2 straight games, and I was fat during that time. Suck it up!!!!
  8. lol yeah I see what you mean. man, if nothing else, this will give the TShirt vendors at Fenway even more material to work with. I honestly think he's getting a 10% cut from them
  9. I htink most athletes wind up crashing at each other's houses. NBA players do this all the time.
  10. Err so if you wanted to be different, why not root for a team not from Tenessee? That's really make a statement =P

  12. Right on the money. This is exactly what I think as well. The guy is constantly PUBLICLY beating himself up, but it just seems so damn insincere. There is definetely a underlying arrogance that ARod can't seem to keep down.
  13. Hey Crunch, it's been well documented that Cash was a GM in name only until 2005. He might have had double the resources, but he was forced to use them in extremely unwise ways because of others.
  14. everytime I hear someone call him Paps, I immediately hear "Paps Smear"
  15. I'll echo jackson's comments. Mo's last contract was the same thing. It's all part of negotiations.
  16. I wasn't sure, I thought the rankings were talking about lineups. Question for you btw, do you think that either Abreu or Drew would give up the body for a catch? Trot and Paulie wouldn't think twice, but I don't know if either of the two current ones would really do that. Drew might get a hangnail form diving, and I don't think I've ever seen Abreu hit the RF grass.
