    One of the few class acts who does everything right with no complaints. Wish every Sox player worked as hard as him, he gave us some good memories and with always be part of the 2004 team.

    Id say The Rocket would, he is the best pitcher of the bunch, for now anyway. But if he was put in the second slot he would start opening day at Fenway, which would make for a VERy good game.

    I don't think he vetoed that one because we weren't even close to getting that one done, and also Philly wasn't really into him at all. Also he prefered the West Coast at first but since no one wants him there he said he'llll accept a trade anywhere. If I can find a quote I'll post it.

    How was Manny's opinion on bein traded to BAL an issue? He already said he'll go wherever. If that was what was holding it back, then i wonder what's left, what date to do it?

    I cant even believe we considered him honestly, even more interviewed him 3 times. I didn't mind the WHite Sox guy, though he wasn't as proven as I would like, then again theo wasn't either

    I don't understand why we would go after Encarnacion. We have Marte, who can start there so he can actually play and if he bombs then kapler will be back soon enough.

    Never heard of the guy the Twins are gettin, but it sounds like the Angels ripped em, why couldn't we have done that?

    I don't think most of the GM-by-commitee guys would go for trading Lester (who has been said to have been better than Papelbon) and Pedroia (our future 2B/ss for the hole at SS or when Loretta gets too old). Keep in mind if we make these trades our team will be on the wrong side of 30 and will only last for maybe 4 years at most. I'm all for tradin Marte to the O's only because as of now we have Youkilis to back it up. I am not willing to trade Pedroia and Lester however, only because Schilling is getting old, and weonly have one middleinflieder who is 30+.

    I think pokey's the answer for now. If pedroia can take over midway, so be it, then in '07 we can re-sign Loretta if he does his thing.

    If anything we'd be the last resort for the orioles, on a long list of suitors. Also why sign Rondell White? I'd rather have Kapler start then him.

    I don't mind this trade, but I think we shouldv'e waited on this. There are many solutions for the SS Hole, maybe even bringing up Pedroia to fill the gap. Also if defense was our issue with Rent then there's an obvious olution for that...Pokey Reese.
