  1. I think some of us knew this would happen, he seemed to start out slow at AAA too and then just went on a tear. And batting .600+ last week is a pretty big f***in tear. Mark my words, Drew will turn it around as well, and everyone doubting him will make posts like this as well.
  2. s*** I wish we still had Kapler and Nixon if there was a fight today. Even so, in an all-out brawl, I'd say the Sox would win, just because no one would bring down Ortiz.
  3. Clark has nothing to be ashamed of besides being fooled. He didn't miss the routine pop up, it's not like dropped it by accident, he walked away thinking a teammate said "Mine". I honestly think this entire thing is not a big deal at all, because there are many reasons Clark still shouldv'e had it. I mean you think he would a) Know the difference btw McDonald and ARod's voices, and process that it wouldn't make any sense for anotehr player to call him off (assuming this play is very enar or close to 3rd base, I haven't seen the tape yet). Still though, you can't compare it to anotehr player in the NBA distracting anotehr during a shot, as calling for the ball is meant for safety purposes, if this false 'Mine" thing turned into a regular thing, there would be far more collisions, and honestly isn't something that should be messed with.
  4. Umm yea, I've never done that to anyone, I've never seen it been done, never ehard of it being done, and that's never been done to me. I don't know how you fellas play where you're from, but we don't do that in Boston. I mean, honestly, I don't find it that big of a deal, the 3rd baseman would have been able to process that no one else would call him off sicne he was positioned there, and even so, he couldv'e called that person off anyways.
  5. It doesn't really need any change, as it's helped Pedroia, Youkilis, Tek, and Lowell all have great years up to this point for the most part. Lugo, Manny, and Drew will obviously break out of their slumps,we just ahve to be patient. After that we are solid everywhere but Crisp.
  6. f*** the NBA, only loss in this for me is that I can't watch Oden/Durant in college next year.
  7. Yeah, if i see or hear another "If only the Celts got Tim Duncan reference"...
  8. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=1002329&format=&page=2 In summary, this guy, while making very good points about the further troubles the Yankees face when this season draws to a close, also makes point that the Sox should re-new Lowell's contract at 07's end, filling the void A-Rod might fill if he opted out of his contract. I, personally would love to have A-Rod hitting behind Manny if it ever became an option, and though Lowell has been great so far this year, I am still behind Theo if he dangles him mid-season to another team. But who would you guys rather have? The future all-time leader in home runs? Or a getting-up-there-in-age guy in Lowell. By taking A-Rod, and watching the Yanks take the possible hits next off-season, we would be the new Yankees, no doubt about it, and the new Evil Empire, whereas if we took Lowell, we would be passing on 275 HRs and perhaps the greatest 3-4-5 of all-time.
  9. It's all thanks to his newfound splitter, along with his already above-average curve. And I agree with Kilo, he is my MVP of this early season as well, without him, we may not have the 2nd best staff in the majors.
  10. forgot to mention those
  11. Well, a lot of teams have stupid fans, however, we should be smarter now since we are leading the AL in team BA.
  12. Between the 0-fers in CF and RF, WMP should be getting some substantial ABs around now, until Drew wakes up, and hopefully the same with Crisp, though that slump has been a bit longer than a month.
  13. Wow, yeah, I mean I thought he was good, but not that good. Then again he does make many diving plays and seems to read the ball well off the bat.
  14. Thats pretty old
  15. I thought the same myself, but I think he was trying to say he lacked command [in the first inning].
  16. Wow, 36 games and you're giving up? At elast be encouraged by your pitching's progress, aside from the 14-2 rout against the Rangers, your staff seem to be keeping you in ballgames. If you ahd these performances last month, you're right there with us.
  17. I disagree, I have Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Caldwell, Washington, Gaffney in that order. Though I do like Caldwell, we don't need 3 deep-threats and Welker will serve as a nice Troy Borwn type of 3rd down, possession type receivers.
  18. Yeah, the Rangers pulled a Red Sox on 'em and beat their ass up. This team is f***ing awesome.
  19. I'd say trade him while he's hot, but we really don't have any holes ight now. Speaking of getting hot, Pedroia is back up to .27o with tonight's performance (when he was 3-3)
  20. And everyone on the offense is hot EXCEPT Richie Weeks, who is blowin' it big time at 2B for my fantasy team. And Yost will almost definately run into trouble using Turnbow and Cordero everyday.
