  1. Hes gon be great one day I hope Ha..what DL is sturtz on??? The Dreadful List? lol
  2. our bullpen is starting to shape up, Villone has impressed me as has Proctor...and I always have some faith in Small!!
  3. wow, now their like 12-0 in day games...good win, lets follow up with the same tomarrow(Though the win itself wasn't that good, becuase of the Jeter Error, Farns needed to work a little extra, but in a sence, any wins a good win)
  4. !!!!!! Now We Got 2 Day Games Coming Up !!!!!!!
  5. lol, his agent also said that if he goes to the AL to DH, he'll hit 1,000 HRs for his career I'd be surprised if anyone took him seeing his batting average is .161 in his last 10 games with 5 hits in 31 ABs and only 2HR...that doesn't look like a buyer
  6. I am too going to miss Matsui, He was always out there(and literally always) and I think like 70% of his homeruns come in the 6-7-8-9 innings, so he was clutch. He was a great fielder too, and his presence is going to be missed. It was just really grousem to look at what he had to do once he missed the ball, and the fact he went and got it make me even more happy wih him, becuase I'm sure some other players might just lay there and let the ball roll, so I know what Matsui cares about most. We can never replace Matsuis bat, but Bubba is a terrific fielder, and I feel that he should take the starting position there, and if Melky plays in right till Sheff comes back, thats fine too, becuase it will get him used to big league pitching for anytime we may need to pinch run him in the 7th or something like that. But I just done want to see them go out and trade for another OF becuase then we'll have 4 great OF and 3 OF positions come next season(or even this season, when Matsui comes back)
  7. Yea, I wish he said "We will lose in the ALDS to the Angels again 3 games to 1" also.... ahh man, Our owner had high hopes of a succsessful season, what a pity
  8. I'm not nervous, but I am worried. I don't want to see any superstars coming in though(Hunter, Jones, Soriano) or anything like that, becuase when the starters do come back..look at that dilema. Though it does seem luck has switched, the Yankees have had good starts shot down by the Sox and vis versa in the past, so well have to see how it plays out. But the past 2 seasons...if it was like 1 big game...its been looking like we need bottem of the ninth game winners, if you get my point)
  9. Congrats Riverside....shucks, I was one Bernie error away from winning it
  10. This is very saddening for me, becuase Patterson lived by my grandmother, and I once baught a magezine with Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams and Floyd Patterson on the cover(of course when I baught it, it was due to Mantle and Williams being on it) Yet one day, my grandmother saw it, and said shed try and see if her friend(a close friend of Floyds) could get it signed. Well Floyd, in his sickened condition, was more than happy to sign the magazien as well as a seperate picture for a young fan. I still don't know much about him, but most other players in his condition wouldn't be as giving as he was, and I was really touched by him doing that. And I wish the best to him and his family. http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=Aki9...ov=ap&type=lgns
  11. lol..I do my game threads on a Yankee site, I got my limits.
  12. I did....why couldn't she just say ".....shot me"??????
  13. He just didn't like the call, so he threw down his helmet...not near or at anyone...but then he got real close to the ump, thats why i think he got suspended
  14. I thought he was suspended for arguing and ejected for throwing his helmet?
  15. oo, iight, my fault..just the footage, it looked metal to me. My mistake(lol..my baseball historyness ends with Red Ruffing and the 1967 Yankees)
  16. probably not, RF was going to be Melkys anyways untill Sheffs back, an Bernie gets DH, if hes suspended, they'll just put Cairo at 1B and make Giambi DH(if their smart)...or they could DH Cairo or whatever, I expected Melky to be playing for a while anyways. On the play, watching it, and based on the angle they gave, it looked like it was going to hit him as soon as he released it, but then you can notice it wasn't. I don't think it deserves one becasue, and in reference to Delmon Young, Young threw a metal baseball bat going like 50mph at the umps chest. Bernie tossed a plastic hemet at like 2 mph near the feet of the ump, and I doubt he had any intent, but was just more frustrated(like the above 2 posts state)
  17. So I need the Yankees to shut the Red Sox out the next 2 game, and the Red Sox need to score 2 Home Runs:D
  18. Just stoppin bye to say hello
  19. he won't hit him(that being Randy)...especially when Randys been sucking in the last few starts, I doubt anyone will be hit thats a Sox by a Randy.
  20. Oh my god....Melky Cabrera. Well at least they didn't put him in in a situation where the Yankees need to win.
  21. lol, everytime David Ortiz steps up I muble 'Hit em, hit em, hit em," becuase he is the only player in the league who can get me nervours....and thats true. lol, and truth be told, if they hit, or even walked him every at bat..I bet that the Sox runs would drop a ten-spot. I also always wanted Giambi to get hit when he was sucking last year, becuase it was the only way anything good could happen. Gimabi gets hit, we pinch-run Womak, he gets thrown out at 2nd, we lose 3-2....lol
  22. lol I'd blow it up and turn it into soup....of wait, someone already did that...I'd just sell it then
  23. the true rivalry start May 6th...1930!!!!!!
  24. Well..Trot Nixon is only 31, so he still has several years left in the bigs, Mussinas going to be 37, and we all know that hes no Randy Johnson or Roger Clemens or Greg Maddux who can play till 45. So I think that Mussina is just in the zone right now. Is it for money? Who knows, but I'm 80% sure if he'd be getting a new contract...it will be with the Yankees. Not many teams have room for old starting pitcher with a history of injurys and so on and so forth. I'm excited about his play this year, and if hes only playing good to prepare for the next seasons contract offers(ala Beltran), then, ya know what, I'll live with it, becuase at the rate hes going, he can help us get all the way, and thats all I need him to do for me this year. We can deal with next year when that comes around, and weather hes on the team or not, we'll see. But right now, Hes playing for now, becuase I'm not too sure if he will be expecting that many offers becuase of a good 16th season.
  25. Yep..these games will be great, and I'm very exccited And Congrats to Torrie on his 1,000th Yankee victory
