  1. Was that how many [Mariano] threw last night? I was curious about that. I actually think the 9th was a 4 pitch inning.
  2. lol, youve been waiting your whole life to be able to raise that question, and have a reason for it, huh?
  3. lol, trust me, I know how Red was on the Red Sox, I just wanted to inculde him in, becuase he did play for them, hence my user name, and all my sports posts that are basically about him.
  4. Griffey?
  5. yea, but he played a few games at OF in his final years, but I probably should have put him at pitcher(I just didn't want to bump out Red)
  6. Good thing for me I was kidding, don't wanna get on the Owned masters bad side.
  7. pshh, we won't need to go into the bullpen vs the Tigers
  8. Well, it wasn't how I wanted it, but a wins a win, and in September...I'll just remeber the W, not the comeback
  9. hmmm C: Rick Ferrell 1B: Jimmie Foxx 2B: Bobby Doerr 3B: Wade Boggs SS: Joe Cronin OF: Ted Williams OF: Babe Ruth OF: Tris Speaker DH: David Ortiz SP: Cy Young SP: Roger Clemens SP: Pedro Martinez SP: Red Ruffing SP: Lefty Grove RP: Wes Ferrell
  10. aww man, I hope they fight before then--j/k
  11. Oh...I get it!!! I thought you meant the TalkSox hall of fame, like people have to vote for me to make the Hall of Fame becuase I'm such a cool member or something like that. Wow, this is a cool Idea, have fun with it
  12. lol, and a 40 year old Jeter would only be apealing to 50 year old guysB)
  13. lol, what made yesterdays loss worse for me is that It wasn't on YES, and I was up all night watching gay-ass WWE RAW waiting for the Yankees to come back on, but little did I know they didn't televise the rest, so I stayed up to 1:30 watching that crap( Ray Mysterio beat JLB ) and then checked mlb, and it was back.
  14. If Jeter gets 150 a year till hes 38, he'll be like 75 short, but(and not that its relavant at all), I read somewhere once that Posada started out as a 2B, and that once he can't handle catching anymore(knees), he'd move to backup 2B for the Yankees, anyone else hear about that? I only say it becuase your talking about moving
  15. idk, Bernie is(kinda) holding the fort even now, at 37, hes on track for maybe 130-150(?) Hits, and his lifetime average is 185, so with Jeters being 206, even a quarter of a fall off would still on register for a nessisary, say, 6,7 more years. Health Pending
  16. If that was to happen, he could always Ruben Sierra or Frank Thomas it, move to DH/Spot Fielder, I'm sure Bernie and Giambi will have well passed on their playing days by then
  17. but..being the youngest Yankee means he got to the milestone faster than anyone else who was not able to reach 3,000 and that he is now in the best position of any other yankee player ever to get to 3,000 becuase he hit rate is highest.
  18. well if he plays 10 more years, then he'll get 3,000. But I don't see him playing till hes 42, or even maybe 37;38 at that, thats why I'm not sure, but I do think he can pass gehrig for the Yankees all time(I think its like 2722)
  19. Yea, but the next next youngest would have, so he still can
  20. Who cares, you maharajah!!!
  21. I believe we are getting the Royals in New York while they're on a 13 Game skid, while we've won like 15 striaght vs them at home. something like that. Wow...if the Yankees can(please god) sweep the Royals, they have to play the Athletics and then the Mariners....could they break their streak of last year
  22. too bad Girardi went to the Marlins.....
  23. Yea, I hate it when players tear tendons too...f***ers
  24. Mainly I collect Red Ruffing memorabilia....but as for cards, I got a few thousand, including a few hundred of cards from before 1940(a bunch of hall of famers) and over 100 autographs and magazeins.....I mainly got all vintage
  25. I really, really, really doubt anyone would give a standing O at Yankee stadium, and if I was ever going to, it'd be to Nomar, Pedro, or Olerud.........who aren't even Sox any more
