What the hell are you talking about? I just made a note that the HP UMP Joe West has been all over the place. I didnt say the Yankees were losing the game because of him. They are losing because they can play any defense.

The sad thing is that outside of the Anderson HR they havent hit one ball hard off of Mussina. Once again bad defense comes back to MURDER the Yankees.

Jorge Posada was the player of the game. He alone shut down the Angel running game tonight. Chacon also gets honorable mention for his excellent start tonight.

with a bad back? There was talk before Washburn went down that they would skip Colon and go with Lackey in game 5. Just in case you dont believe me here is what I saw from rotoword: Bartolo Colon - S - Angels Bartolo Colon wasn't brought back to start Game 4 against the Yankees in part because his back is still bothering him. LMAO!!! You wish. He threw 35 pitches today and he hasnt pitched in 4 days prior to todays game. The only person who MIGHT be inactive for tomorrows game is Scott Shields who threw 25 pitches today and has pitched in every game this series. The Yankees did 2 things with todays win. They sent the series back to Cali and they worked the Angels bullpen. Escobar threw 35 pitches today and has pitched in I believe 3 games this series.

If the Yankees win this series Rivera will have to pitch 4 innings over the next 2 days. f*** Gordon....its starter to Rivera at this point.

It was a fun regular season but if we lose today it will certainly be a bitter end. The bottomline is Sheff and A-Rod NEED to come alive today. You cant win the series when your 2 best hitters have a combined 3 hits. Chacon needs to put up some zeros also. CHACON TO RIVERA TODAY!!!

I was at the game tonight. You saw what happens when you have a deep bullpen. Mike Socica called on Scott Shields in the 5th inning because he knew he has guys left in the pen that can get him to K-Rod. The Yankees nor any other team out there can call on their 2nd best reliever in the 5th inning and still feel they can get it to their closer.

100% right and even Wells said the same thing after the game. -
During that off-season all you heard was how much he wanted to be a Yankee (since he is from Washington Heights). The Yankees went in another direction (Mike Mussina). So he went for the money in Boston. You hear the same thing with Carl Pavano....you should have known what you are getting yourself into because in the end the team and yourself pay the price.

Manny should be back next year then. I dont know why he wants to be traded anyway. He should have never signed there if he is so unhappy.

I would do that trade assuming that you get someone like Konerko(who would HELP to replace Manny). I heard he will be fine. The Red Sox have a poor defensive OF. Cameron is a gold glover. Plus is Damon leaves you can add another bat along with Konerko and Cameron.

I remember and the thing was it wasnt like Pedro only won 15 games. Pedro won 20 that year but Zito won 23.

I know you want to get the best deal and all. If I were the Red Sox I would ask for something like Cameron, Lastings Millidge, and Aaron Heilman. Steve Traschel is almost 35 with a bad back. You cant depend on him to eat the amount of innings he ate previous to the back injury.

This reminds me of the 2002 season when Pedro Martinez has Barry Zito beat in almost every stat expect wins and they gave it to Zito.

The Mets wouldnt trade Beltran in a deal for Manny. That would be stupid. Can you imagine an OF with Floyd and Manny? Talk about statues.

When the Tigers played at Tiger stadium in the 80's and early 90's that was the worst neighborhood to be in after a game. I've heard storys about people being robbed and shot right outside the stadium.

The South Bronx about 20 years ago(and previous to that) was the worst place to have a stadium. Now the area is cleaned up and its much better. I havent seen many Yankee fans at Yankee stadium spit on 12 year old kids. I've been to Shea Stadium. Its the biggest piece of s*** in NY. I call it the dump in Flushing.
