    Ortiz has been great this year but IMO as long as Ortiz has had most of his AB's as a DH he should not win the MVP. Being the everyday DH is such an advantage I dont think some of you relize. During the game while his teamates are out in the field he could be in the cage hitting or watching video of an AB he just had and breaking down how the pitcher pitched to him. PLUS the major reason why a DH should never win the MVP is he doesnt play defense. When you dont have to play in the field it greatly diminishes the chance of you getting hurt. If you put Vlad and A-Rod at DH for the same amount of AB's I'll bet they would have better numbers then they have.

    I never understood that. I heard the Yankees had no intrest in Winn because he couldnt play CF but yet they pick up Lawton who cant play a lick in the OF. Now Winn is the CF in SF.

    Yeah, you just have to be careful with these guys. There a thin line....you want them to get seasoned in the minors but you have to take care of their arms.

    Yeah at the begining of the year Hughes had slight shoulder tendonitis. So the Yankees decided to cut his season short this year just to be careful. This is what I heard from a scout that covers the RiverDogs (The team he plays for). He should be fine for next season.

    When did I say that? The fact of the matter is if the Refs get the tuck rule right the Pats only have 2 titles. Drew Bennett dropped a very easy pass and the Titans had MANY chances that night. Whens the last time you saw a kicker just kick one out of bounds? If your denying the fact that they get breaks then your nuts.

    The thing I like about Wang is he is a ground ball pitcher. I can see him being a Branden Webb type pitcher. HEAVY sinker 94 MPH.

    I agree 100% and I have Bellhorn in my sig just for this series. The way the Yankees are playing I'm trying everything.

    One of the things that pisses other fans off about the Pats is that they seem to ALWAYS get the breaks. Breaks like the tuck rule or Drew Bennett dropping an easy pass or the kicker from Carolina kicking the ball out of bounds. I cant complain because the Yankees during the championship years seemed to get those breaks also.

    Quick question.....Is Embree sopposed to say "I cant get Ortiz out"? I'm glad he said that.He shouldnt be on the team if he doesnt believe he can get anyone out.

    5-0 all because Joe needed to use Franklin. There was a shot on the bench of Torre looking at numbers....if Torre would have looked hard enough lefties hit 306 vs Proctor and Crawford hits 311 vs righties as opposed to 241 vs lefties. Torre let this game get out of hand.

    They are all garbage. If Wang isnt on pitch count(Which he isnt) I wouldnt have taken him out. He was done in by Posada not being able to block the plate the last inning.

    Ruben is best off the bench. When you start him you expose him. I even know how to pitch to him. Breaking balls away...he pulls off the ball.
