  1. Really, there are games when a pitcher dominates. For a guy like RJ who is a strike out pitcher its when hes racking up the double digits. For a GB pitcher to only allow 1 fly ball out in 8 innings......thats dominate.
  2. Yeah great game all around. I agree on the bubba point, theres something about Crosby of all of the Yankees hitting the GW. Maybe its that hes the most underestimated but he has certainly playe GREAT in his last few games. I think he has had a few 3 hit games in the past few days. He has alot of heart.
  3. I dont know about you guys(Yankee fans) but I'm REALLY excited about Wang. He looked like he was back to the pitcher he was prior to the injury. 95 MPH sinker.....nothing but GB. After the 1st inning the O's could do nothing with him. 9 assists for Wang also...that just tells you how heavy that sinker is.
  4. Lmao Bubba Crosby Of All People Ends The Game.
  5. Wang gets Tejada to GIDP. Through 8 innings only 1 fly ball out. If I'm Torre unless we get the lead I send him out for the 9th. We need length out of the starters so bad.
  6. You kinda took the words out of my mouth. Of course he wouldnt like the video. If he did there would be something wrong with him.
  7. Lmao, I've seen this video on 3 different message boards. I swear when I saw the title of this thread I knew exactly what it was about.
  8. I'll say this about Wang. He throws THE heaviest sinker in the majors outside of Bradon Webb of the D-Backs. He has allowed threw 7 innings only 1 fly ball out. His sinker is SO heavy that tonight he has 8 assists. If you put a good infield behind him, he will be a very good pitcher.
  9. Thats true, they might still win the division despite themselfes. I just dont believe that offense will be better without Moss. Maybe the Vikings can turn that Moss money into some help on the defense side of the ball.
  10. Too bad Palmeriro was sent home.
  11. Quick question....if you read what I said about the Wells vs Hendrickson matchup what did I say? "Wells should beat Hendrickson". I said the Wakefield vs Kazmir match up is a wash and Schilling is unpredictable. Yankeessuck decided to focus on that match up so then I did.
  12. Kazmir for the whole 2nd half: 6-2 2.61 ERA with 82 K's. Wakefield vs Kazmir=wash......Yeah thats what I thought. Why are you even arguing it? Its not like I'm even saying the Red Sox are going to be sweept. All I'm saying is those games will NOT be as easy as some of you make it out to be.
  13. Thats my whole point in this thread. I really dont have to say anything else.
  14. I could really care less what Curt Schllings career record is against Tampa. Despite your optmistic view hes not the same pitcher. I also dont want to hear that s*** about his 1 great start in NY. Since when is having 3/4 bad starts considered a good thing? Wakefield is facing Kazmir. Thats a wash and Wells should beat Hendrickson. My point in this whole thread is its no cake walk like you guys are saying. You can take it or leave it. No 4 game sweep is a walk in the park when you have to comeback in 3 of 4 games.
  15. How is that an immature comment when you read the thread. You guys are extremly confident for a club who just split a 4 game set AT HOME against the A's who were struggling prior to coming into Fenway. Who said give up? You have to give up to lose ballgames in the majors? Its not just the D-Rays. You guys never give credit to the other ballclub. The fact of the matter here is you guys are struggling and the Yankees are making a charge. Are you going to deny that also? You guys have played in about 29 stright games....its obvious that Varitek and other Sox are gased so I dont know if the offensive slump will continue or not. Whats immature is you and Yankeessuck thinking that you will walk over the rest of the AL when in fact your lead has been cut in half and you have another series left with the Jays and the Yankees both who have given you trouble this year.
  16. One start doesnt change a history of dominence(3.04 ERA this year and 0.00 ERA in 2004. What you said would be just like me saying (Prior to his last start at Yankee stadium)...Well in Tim Wakefield's last start against the Yankees AT fenway he gave up 3 home runs so I expect to hit him just as hard the next time.
  17. on the bad side.....The Vikings flat out stink. I laughed when everyone said they got better when they traded Moss because its simply not true.
  18. I think the Bengals sent a message this week that they are hear to stay. Carson Palmer is very good. I though I heard a stat today that he has had 7 consecutive games with ATLEAST 2 TD's. Their offense is great and if their defense steps up like they have so far they will give Pittsburg a run for the division.
  19. With the way the Red Sox are hitting (everyone outside of Ortiz and Manny seems to be in a slump) I wouldnt be thumping my chest GOING INTO (Not to Fenway) Tampa Bay. You dont know what your going to get out of Schilling who took a step back in his last start and is facing one of the better offenses in the AL. Your also facing Kazmir who the Sox seem to always struggle against AND hes having one of the best 2nd halfs of any pitcher in the AL (6-2 2.61 ERA 82K'S 3BB). This is no walk in the park for the Red Sox. One more thing also.....in those games at Fenway the Red Sox would fall behind 5-0, 5-1, and 4-2.The Sox needed a comeback in 3 of those 4 games, so those games in Fenway were no walk in the park as they appear.
  20. You have got to be kidding me. Wright gets hit with a broken bat and is out of the game. It really never gets better.
  21. Intresting article on the AL MVP race: http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/how-not-to-use-statistics-why-david-ortiz-shouldnt-be-mvp the article was too long for me to post.
  22. I think it has alot to do with which team makes the playoffs. If they both get in I think A-Rod will win it. It may very well come down to who has the bigger weekend when the Yankees play the Red Sox at Fenway.
  23. lmao yeah. That was a classic example of a "clutch" defensive play. Something Ortiz cant do.
