  1. No! Juan Pierre.:thumbdown Looks like George might be tiring of whatever Cash is doing...
  2. When he doesn't have to worry about being shipped down to Columbus every few games, I predict he'll be a much better player. I mean, when he didn't have the minor league burden on his shoulders (in September, after the rosters expanded) he ended up hitting .327 and definitely played a role in the Yankees march to another AL East title.
  3. Crosby is actually a decent OF. His performance in 2005 was impressive, at least in my opinion. He was good down the stretch (.327 BA in September) and played the field well. I wouldn't mind having him as an everyday player.
  4. Looks like Farnsworth is going to be in pinstripes next season.
  5. The first thing that came to my mind when I heard this: http://www.gallatindesign.com/websites/presidents/images/biopics/vanburen.jpg
  6. Well...I hope Bubba Crosby's getting alot of rest this offseason.
  7. The Yankees have picked up a new back-up catcher; free agent Kelly Stinnentt has been signed to a one year deal worth $650,000.

  9. Bastard...I mean, congratulations.
  10. Feeley's not on my good side today.
  11. Maybe not?:dunno:
  12. From another message board:
  13. I wonder what response we can expect from the Yankees to the activity from the Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Mets... I can see the headlines now, "Steinbrenner Resurrects Mantle; Yankee Hole in CF Filled." You know he has the money somewhere to do this.
  14. Still nothing about this on Toronto's website.
  15. It's right at the top, under the "Breaking News" box (it's red, with white writing.)
  16. Apparently, he really wanted to close games.
  17. According to the NY Daily News, B.J. Ryan has signed a 5 year deal with the Blue Jays worth $47 million. Link
  18. The Yankees have released their 2006 schedule! I'm not really liking it.
  19. If George was making the decisions, we would have given up the farm (literally) for an injury-prone pitcher (Beckett) and a guy who was almost an automatic out in 2005 (Lowell.) Thankfully, our management is using some common sense this offseason.
  20. Pretty much.
  21. Duncan? Bean? Cabrera? Henn? etc. etc. You shut up.
  22. Yes, it'll be great when they change the sign near the Stadium from "26 World Championships" to "27 World Championships."
  23. Yeah, keep thinking this only applies to the Yankees... Wow, 2006 is going to be very entertaining.
  24. Actually, I'm going to shut up. One of you is buying me a Christmas present and with each post I'm slipping closer and closer to coal...
