  1. Just like I said the other day, your starting staff is s***. You can't win a post season with meh starting pitching
  2. Stroman probably would have been an upgrade but it's not someone I'd ever want on my team. Nothing but a big drama queen.
  3. Nationals cannot be taken lightly by either the Astros or the Yankees. I get that the cardinals wasnt much of a test but they did beat the Dodgers who had the best record in the west in the prior round. Their pitching is good enough to win it all. Their offense is not too shabby either
  4. Nats looking good to sweep the cards tonight. So they'll have their 3 studs rested up for the WS.
  5. You only have so many weapons in the bullpen. When your starters don't make it through 5 you have to use everyone else. If their starting pitching wasn't weak and make it through at least 6 innings, they wouldn't have to put it ottavino in. Look at Houston, Cole and Verlander go 7 so they only need to go with Harris and osuna. Yankees don't have studs that can do that.
  6. That's what happens when your starting rotation is weak
  7. I wouldn't count the Nats out. They have been quite good down the stretch and they have great starting pitching. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up winning it all
  8. You'd easily score more runs with bunt single. They shift no matter how many baserunners there is. You don't hit a hr everytime your at bat.
  9. Players need to learn how to bunt to stop this shift non sense
  10. Looks like the Nats are doing just fine without Harper
  11. I'm sorry but unless he signs back for 5 million he's not worth it. Plenty of pitchers out there who can give us an 5 era. No shortage of those. No need to break the bank for one. His cy young year was a fluke. People need to realize that. Take that year out and he was essentially a 5 era pitcher for us during his time in Boston.
  12. I see Kimbrel is doing just fine with the Cubs
  13. Yeah he's been dog s*** eh? And btw the Sox offense is just as good as last year. Its solely on the pitching that they've s*** the bed this year.
  14. Lol. Can't even win a game at home vs the Phillies.
  15. They would have to win about 28-30 or their remaining games to make it. That's not possible with the s*** pitching they've had this year.
  16. When someone comes off an injury like he did last year, it's a huge gamble to give him that extension. Considering that, yes it was big mistake to extend him without having him see how he made out this year coming off injury. If he had no injuries last year, then I would of had no problem extending as you can't foresee and arm injury.
  17. And that's why you wait till he plays this full season before you extend him
  18. Cant say I'm shocked with the start to the year they had. Regardless of the talent they have, you cant recover from that. So hopefully next spring training they learned their lesson and have them game ready when the regular season starts.
  19. Are you serious right now? Wins and losses are the WORST to measure how good a pitcher is. Any avg pitcher would have that record pitching for the Sox given the run support he has in his starts
  20. Where the hell has this version of sale been all year?
  21. Man you guys are too spoiled. They are not winning the WS every year. Players have off years. s*** happens.
  22. Please don't resign this bum
  23. That's still a head scratcher for me.
  24. By his standards yes it's been a bad year for him but he's also been very unlucky this year in terms of ball batted in play.
