  1. Curious, how many championships do the sox have to win to make you happy? Every year?
  2. Dont get too ahead of yourself. Look what happened to Boston this past year. Multiple stars could have a bad year and more injuries could occur
  3. The sox will probably have to give betts 400 Mil to keep him anyways due to the fact that he has no plans to stay in Boston
  4. I shouldn't say Harper sucks but he does for what he's getting paid for.
  5. Yeah cause Harper sucks and the Phillies overpaid him. I've said this many times, just because the Phillies overvalued Harper it doesn't make him worth what he got
  6. Not quite, it all depends how he does this coming year. He wasnt exactly spectacular at the plate last year. If he does a repeat of last year at the plate no thanks on a deal for 10/350
  7. Cole's price might be going up now
  8. Martinez, just because he's a better hitter. He makes the lineup better. Everyone learns from him. Plus I'd rather pay him 20 ish Mil than pay mookie 35-40 a year. We need to get rid of these ridiculous contracts, they hardly never pan out
  9. Oh no!! Chris Sale is going to suck this year
  10. And also, a 811 OPS sucks if you're paying the guy a record contract
  11. Yeah and how much did he have prior to age 30? He declined. Betts is hardly a 30 base steal guy so imagine how poorly that will look after 30
  12. Betts ain't no Rickey Henderson. And also, Rickey slowed down as soon as he hit 30. I mean yeah he stil stole quite a few bases after 30 but not near what he did under 30. A lot of Betts value is based on his speed ( defense , base running ). Once betts hits 30 he's already going to decline. He's my favorite current sox but no way I give him a 400 Million contracts. He wasn't even the best Sox this year. I'm sorry but if you want a 400 million contract you best be the team's best player every year on his team like trout is.
  13. I can't see them dealing their best hitter. They'd have to get a nice haul for that to happen.
  14. Jacko is straight on point here. We can't afford to lose JD. If we do , it will be 2017 all over again
  15. Yes but the track record for Kershaw is that he stinks in the playoffs. If you were the coach would you put him in the game when the game is on the line come playoff time? Based on his previous chokes I doubt you would. Cole has been a beast these playoffs
  16. Glad to see washington winning this without Harper. Just goes to show how overrated he is
  17. A lot of times on these so called upset, the team goes on to win it all or close to it. Yes there is some times where they promptly lose the next round but doesn't happen a lot. So I mean maybe 25 percent of time it's a crapshoot if even that.
  18. See, that's where I don't see it's an upset as they followed up the Dodgers win by stomping the cards and now has Houston in a 7th game. They are clearly a great team and again, their record since July speaks for itself. They just had a slow start to the year
  19. Benny's upside is better than JBJ. With JBJ he's not going to get any better, in fact he'll start to decline here soon.
  20. Go look at Washington's record since July. This should be no surprise to anyone
  21. I'm surprised the Nats are going with Sanchez in game 3 rather than Corbin
  22. Well unlike many of you in not surprised by the Nats taking a 2-0 lead. I've said many times to watch out for the Nats.
  23. A lot of the people are not giving the Nats much of a chance and I'm not sure why. They have one of the top records in baseball since July and have 3 stud pitchers.
  24. Are you for real? He has a career 2.76 era in the playoffs. And prior to this start he had given up 1 ER in 22.2 innings if the first 2 rounds.
  25. Pitching always wins when it comes to playoff time. An ace pitcher when he's on will always shut down a great offense. Yankees starter dont have that capability. They are way too inconsistent.
