    Crisp is a great find for the FO, this is the closest to replacing Damon they could have done. Plus with losing Marte who knows what he is going to be. Yeah the experts say he is going to be great, but the Experts also said that Michael Olawakandi was going to be like Tim Duncan

    I still think Raef will be starting over Jeff, he has been for about 2 weeks and has been playing very well

    I have some problems with this. First off where is papelbon? He is going to start next year the FO has been fairly straight foward with that. Next Wells wont be here next year, he is gone. And I think in the Long run getting Crisp is better than signing Damon, if you look at the numbers they are very similar, plus Crisp is faster and has a better arm

    I really love this deal. Lets face it their was so much question with Marte, from what ive heard he has been a disapointment in winterball, and he only hit in the 270's in the minors last year. The Red Sox got what they wanted a CF with speed that could fill the leadoff spot. Good move by the sox

    I love this deal, Crisp has Damon numbers over the past 2 seasons and is a better defensive OF. He also is younger makes little money and has great speed, good deal!

    If this deal happens I will feel 100% better about this offseason. If it goes down I also think we should sign Alex Gonzo for 1-2 years. He is a great defensive SS. The lineup would look like this Crisp Lorreta Ortiz Manny Varitek Nixon Lowell Youk/Snow Gonzales that is an excellent lineup if you ask me

    Wow, I would love this trade. Coco Crisp has had 2 good seasons, and could easily fill both CF and the leadoff spot.

    Yeah, you could see it coming with Clement, his Era was on the rise every month, it just happens with him. Look at his career in the second half, its not a fluke we do not want Matt Clement on the hill this year. I would take a start from Papelbon everyday of the week after watching the 2nd half of last year. I mean the Sox gave him every chance to make his mark and he didnt get it done. The game agianst Toronto towards the end of the year, and of course the horendous Game 1 performance agianst the White Sox, i done with this guy, let him go back to the NL have his 10-12 record with his 4.00 Era

    I bet Theo returns as President of Baseball opps, pulls the trigger on all the deals and Jed and Ben return to their roles. I have a feeling that when Lucchino gave them the job it was under the understanding that Theo would be returning and they were only filling in. Huge Day, THEO returns, all is good in Red Sox nation (once we get a CF that is)

    Why put Papelbon in the bullpen, the guy is 25 and needs to start now. He is a starter not a reliver. This could could get 200 inngs and K 200 guys, Clement will give you a 4.50 Era with 150 BB's and pitches at an agonizingly slow pace, let the Papelbon Era begin
