  1. First off you talk like your acomplishment this year was better than ours last year. Your team got every freaking break imaginable, the Red Sox last year came from a 3-0 hole to make History, your Sox beat a Red Sox team that didnt have its ace or closer, then after getting a ******** call in game 2(not saying the angels would have won that game but if they did the sox would have been done) you beat an Angels team that lost its Cy-young pitcher, then you beat a spent Astros team, thats starting pitching was depleted from just trying to get to the Post Season. Some Acomplishment, this was the weakest year of playoff teams, everybody had key guys missing, mind you all the games agiansnt the Astros were close and could have gone either way. Now lets go back to the 04 Red Sox, who never once were behind to the Cardinals in the 4 game dominate sweep. Yeah the best "Pure Team" what about the sox last year who had just as good starting pitching a deep bullpen a great lineup good defense and plently of speed. Its funny how you say that the WhiteSox fans are better fans than Red SOx fans. The REal Sox have sold out over 200 hundred straight games, how many games did the ChiSOX sell out 10-15, GIVE ME A BREAK nobody will ever care about the WhiteSox as they do the Red Sox.. Red Sox baseball isnt just a game to watch, its a commitment a pasion, you just cant say that about the Chi Sox who dont put people in the seats expcept post season time. I was not bitter when the our season came to an end either, it cetanially was a frustrating season, but under the injury circumstances and prolonged slump it was great for the sox to even be in penate race... Also its completly lame that you join a message board off a team you dont support just becuase your team beat us... So next seaon in mid-july when Fenway is packed to capasity and the U.S. Cellular field has about 15,000 fans watching a game, we will know what the real baseball city is, Chicago doesnt even compare... Also. not that you ChiTownSox77; said this but The Whitesox just havent been competiative one W.S in 88 years before this year, the Red Sox were mostly always in it till the end when something imfamous would happen and the sox would have a dramtic lose, i wouldnt say finsihing in last place year in and year would be a curse as some national media people have tried to make it out to be. 86 years of true heart-breaking misory made last year better than any White Sox fan can fee right now Just thought i would vent on that one
  2. I thought Zito was a free agent this year? the thing i would worry about with him is pitching at Fenway with the Green Monster over his shoulder, since he is not a hard thrower i dont think it would be a good move. Burnett Maybe, why invest all that money when you have Schill Paps Clement Wake and Arroyo tied up, maybe add a smaller name pitcher and go strongly after Halladay, and Santana in a couple years, also i believe Lester will be a stud for this team.
  3. I could actually follow college football if their were playoffs, the BCS is a piece of s***
  4. Why all the redsox yanks games on weeknights, thats stupid on the part of the schedule makers
  5. Are you a complete idiot, manny was cold for one month (may) but then was his normal self for the rest of the year, i believe i did the research you have no numbers to back up your idiodic comments, if you actually watched games down the strech you would have realized along with ORtiz, manny carried this club. Manny isnt much a off the field disturbence in the club house, from what i hear he pretty much just keeps to himself, and your comment about Ortiz not liking him is so far off, they are good friends, Ortiz this season defeding Manny on everything he did. Oh by the way I really hate how people say Manny doesnt play as much as he needs to, thats ******** he plays as much as everybody eles on this team does, he played in 152 games. A HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO GAMES, Edgar played in 153 which lead the club other than Ortiz who is the DH, um Billy mueller played in 150 games so all this Manny not wanting to play everyday s*** needs to end, its completly based around one game in Tampa that the Red SOx won anyway, let it go
  6. So your saying Manny's Season fell apart at the end, what did you not watch the the month of the season when he carried the team and had his best offensive month of the season. He had like 11 Sept homers and like 25+ Rbis, maybe you should do some reseach before you make some stupid comment like that. And he was the only one to hit in the playoffs
  7. With out Manny the redsox arnt a playoff team.
  8. Good luck with that, what the hell are you talking about, there are no aces available; washburn Morris or Millwood would be a great pick up to go along with Schill, Paps, the 3 i mentioned wake and clement. Arroyo bullpen; Wells retired
  9. Bulls at the Celtics tonight from the Garden, i hope Delonte plays more Dan Dickua because he really sucks big time
  10. He is only like 31 or 32 thats not too bad, plus we dont need an ace, i think Schill/paps will take care of that, i just dont see it nessacary to throw so much money at A.J when Millwood could be just as good or better
  11. I know everyone is talking about A.J Burnett about the best F.A. avaliable, but not to be overlooked is A.L ERA champ Kevin Millwood, he is more of a proven pitcher and would be a nice fit in this rotation, i do realize that the Guardians will do everything to keep him there but i would be excited to get Millwood
  12. Game 4 last year was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen thanks to Roberts, Milliar, Mueller, and Ortiz
  13. ND didnt get robbed because USC would have still kicked a field goal if it was spotted at the 3, and probally would have one in O.T, allthough Reggie Bush pushing Linehart in the End Zone was cheap
  14. its my feeling that Nixon will have a huge 06, (25-30hrs, 90-100 rbis 310 ba 85 runs scored)
  15. I think Lester still needs some development but he will probaly see action with the sox in 06
  16. I know we shouldnt dwell on the ump controversy but if it was the correct call their was a decent chance the Angels go back home 2-0 and the whole thing would have been different it just cant be over looked, allthough the Chi Sox have done a great job jumping on the great chances they have been giving and def. deserve to win this series
  17. Whats the score my satelight has been out all weekend long, damn storm
  18. If the ownership lets Epstien Go, he will be the next Yankee GM, so they should not let him go by any stretch of the imagination
  19. Arod didnt hit as well with runners in scoring postion like Papi and Manny did. Here is the question you have to ask, in a clutch situation is AROD the guy on the yanks that you want at the plate.... OF COURSE NOT, you would want, in this order Jeter, Matsui, Shefield Giambi. For boston the Red Sox would want Papi at the plate in any situation
  20. I would take him as well, he is durable and reliable
  21. John Lester, right! how could i forget that one! stupid mistake
  22. If all goes as planed 2006 could be a lot like 2004, If schilling returns to form we could have a 1-2 like Pedro and Schilling, I really feel confident that paps will have a huge season next year. Nixon's power numbers went down this year, so in a contract year expect him to have 2003 numbers if he can stay healthy. Delcarmen and Hansen(maybe Wagner or Ryan) if matured could be excellent set-up guys for a healthy and dominant Keith Foulke, at age 30 i really expect Foulke to have a huge season in a contract year, trying to earn his last large payday of his big league career. If Foulke fails again this time their will be a back up plan, either Hansen or Ryan/Wagner. The retooled offense with a few new everyday faces youk, Pedrioa should bring stability at the end of the lineup, and hopefully the sox will add a big bat a first base, possibly Kenerko or Huff. Oh by the way the Sox still have Papi and Manny(whom they will keep) and that will provide enough offense. We will still have a solid wake, Clement wells(if he stays-doughtfull) and Bronson. I cant wait for next year it is going to be exciting as hell with all the young/new faces... Hopefully we can over take the Yankees and make it back to the W.S!!!!!!!
  23. Pedrioa is only expendable only if we sign Nomar and Move Rents to second (Only wish full thinking)
  24. We keep Papelbon Hasen Delcarmen Ramirez Pedrioa, every one eles anyone eles is expendable in my view, unless i am missing some one obvious
