    If they value Coco so much then how come they are using him as trade bait. Coco did have good numbers last year, in Cleavland, which is not as pressure packed as Boston. Lets not forget how much Damon lived for the spotlight, he was perfect for here. I would have signed Johnny, that being said I think Coco is still suffering from the finger injury and should not be judged for this season. If he struggles like this next year, then the argument could come up again. Also I think O.C was mentioned up there, and I think if Theo could do it over he would have resigned him, over Edgar, I mean he is an offensive upgrade over Gonzo this year, and I think the Defense is basically a wash. I also want to comment on Coco's Fielding, it seems to me he gets horrible reads in center but has the speed to make up for it.

    Why the hell would they trade Arroyo for this guy, if they werent planning him for the future. I mean I dont think they expected him to put up big numbers this year.

    I really dont think the Sox would do it either, because Manny is only 34 and is still 1-2-3 Rbi men in baseball. He was been the the best offensive player for the sox since 01. He still probally has 4 seasons of 35+, 120+ seasons. Screw AROD, Extension Gonzo! Also Manny great Postseason hitter, Arod shrinks like my junk in ice cold water during the playoffs.

    He was a key part of the pen before his elbow flared up. He could be huge for us down the strech.

    First off Varitek will hit and has really picked it up since the break. I believe Doug Mirabelli has like 11 Rbis in his last 6 starts. So I think the catcher situation is fine. Also Curt Schillings Option for 07 was picked up after the 04 win, and Wakefield has a mutal option for the rest off his life with the sox, that if he does not retire(which is actually a possibility) will be picked up. Coco is STILL injured, so I am going to completely wash this season for him. Paps obvious starter in 07!

    Look at Curt Schilling, he has done fine with, Fastball and the Split. Plus Papelbon also has a wicked slider, and throws a breaking ball as well, he just doesnt have to throw all his pitches as closer.
