  1. Yeah...... and thats bedtime for me. f*** this team for getting beat by bad teams. Lose a series to the Royals? Getting slapped by the white sox? Splitting with the Jays? Theo, make a move, my friend. This is getting embarrassing.
  2. Youk looks bad right now, I would not shed a tear should he be dealt, he very well could be a 1st half player...
  3. lol, this team is bad.
  4. Wow, screw this. Youk needs to stop being a pussy right now and get up off the ground a little faster.
  5. If Manny hits into a DP, I won't watch the rest of this series out of depression and I'm going to bed. That will basically be it for me. The straw that breaks the camels back. Sick of this sluggish offense right now.... Come on Manny, put one on the pike.
  6. Yup. He is. But he is also 23. It'll happen for him.
  7. Hansens problem isn't balls. Its with the other organ we are capable of thinking with: the brain. The kid is kind of a moron. Excels against low minor league and college talent cause the hitters until AAA are stupid. Now he is learning how to set guys up. He will learn, and will excel again. He has a monster arm. Great FB, sinker and used to have a great slider, I can't imagine it disappearing and never coming back and I haven't seen him pitch in awhile so I don't know if it is back, but I know he has trouble setting guys up. He will learn not to suck.
  8. Who thinks Coco is banging Tina?
  9. I bet there is a better chance of snow on the deadline, than Ian Snell at the deadline. Oswalt, be available, you handsome redneck, you.
  10. This has loss written all over it. Welcome to the beginning of the end for these 2007 Red Sox, unless Theo makes a move. Ah, .500 ball, how frustrating you are.
  11. If we get Ian Snell I will run naked from my house to yawkey way and do nude snow angels on the pavement.
  12. I think your gonna have to live or die with Manny and Ortiz as far as homerun power and hope Drew gets hot. With Tavarez taking a #2 on the mound everytime out, Pitching has to be a priority. Wakefield is never going to be a #3 guy in our rotation. He's a 5 because of his tendency to be streaky. That basically leaves us with 3 #5 starters. We can't take that into the post-season and we don't know what Schilling gives us. We have to send out feelers on Oswalt and Willis. Those won't be the only names, the rumors are accurate sometimes, but they don't get nearly everything thats out there, we really have no idea who is going to be available, we can only guess. You have to think they'll do something to upgrade the staff.
  13. Nacy drew has been hitting .300 since june. If we can keep him on the field, hes probably only heating up. He is the last guy I'm worried about. Julian, Manny(thank god may be coming around), wily mo, and doug mirabelli are higher up on my list. Mirabelli and Mo are KILLING our bench, Julian our rotation, and until very recently the middle of our lineup has been softer than a box of Puffs kleenex. Drew struggled big time when our team was absolutely tearing it up, and when we started to struggle he came up big and has hit around .300 since the beginning of our annoying (recently upgraded from "little") speed bump. Theo guys like Papelbon, Schilling, Coco, Ortiz, Pedroia, Okajima, Delcarmen, and Cora are doing just fine and were a big part of our surge. Guys like Pedroia, Papelbon, Delcarmen, and Ortiz will keep playing like they are. Coco will be more like Recent-Coco and less like April-Coco because 26 year old's don't lose bat speed like he did permanently unless they broke an arm. And, hopefully, Schilling will get back in this rotation and be better than post 1-hitter "craptastic" self. If not, I'm sure wonderboy will bring someone in who can at least go 6 innings and not be a doormat like Julian F-ing Tavarez. Don't be a complainer.
  14. We have a deep enough system to bring in a pitcher like Oswalt without giving up Bucholz. Masterson, Bowden and Hansen are all very nice pitching prospects.
  15. Don't under-estimate the trade value of a 22 year old flame thrower like Hansen. Especially to an NL team with time to let the kid get his feet under him when they're rebuilding.
  16. I could careless about his K-rate. He's a monster, and our staff needs to regain its stability. Schilling is no lock, and if he comes back we're even more dangerous, but we need another guy who can give us a solid turn every 5 days. If Oswalt were available it would shock me if the Sox weren't in on it. Right now, I wouldn't move MDC. His confidence is sky high and his stuff is great. He's been HUGE for us. He is exactly the kind of guy you want for the post season. Blazin' fast f***in' awesome four seamer and brutal snap dragon beast curve ball. His composure was the problem, now it isn't. Hansen I would deal given MDC's recent success. He could be a huge trading chip for us. Ellsbury I know everyone is in love with, but his value for us right now has to be in a trade. Coco is on pace to have a historic season defensively in CF, better than any season Hunter or Jones has ever had in their careers and if he keeps up that pace this year and for the forseeable future and is more of what we have seen since June 1st at the plate... We're all set in CF. You don't get better than that. We have the ammo. I think it makes sense for the FO to take a shot at Oswalt. They will.
  17. I like the lidge rumors for one reason: we are talking to houston. How often are there rumors of two teams talking and the media turns out is only getting word of part of the deal, or the wrong players completely. I love that we are talking to Houston and I agree that Ellsbury is too much for Lidge, but Ellsbury and some more prospects would be fine for say... Oswalt? Ells, Bowden, Hansen and Lowrie for Oswalt!!! I'm hitting the campaign trail.
  18. This game sucks. Time to shake it up.
  19. Bucholz, Ellsbury and Bowden is better than any three prospects the yanks could muster up. Guarenteed. Unless you're talking about Hughes but thats a different story. The yankees wouldn't offer hughes in the same way the Sox wouldn't offer anyone Papelbon.
  20. I just want to chime in quickly cause this reminds me of the Boston.com grade the players thing I voted on. I'm angry at RedSoxNation for being stupid. Daisuke gets the same grade as Julian Tavarez according to the majority of Sox fans. Julian gets a B, DiceK gets a B. Are you kidding me? DiceK is rolling with a 3.80 ERA. Thats great, and hes coming off a terrible awful start, that number will get lower and lower. Way to be stupid. Julian is not a good pitcher what is wrong with people.
  21. Well, not saying this could ever happen, but if I were the Red Sox I would fund all the players involved in that deal if I could get Miguel Cabrera in that swap. You're gonna pay for Manny anyways, why not pay for him to enjoy florida and watch Miguel Cabrera be exactly the same player (and person) that manny is. It would be great. Leave me and my dreams alone.
  22. Yeah, I'm getting that feeling. Manny and Ellsbury for Miguel Cabrera!!! I can dream. Leave me alone.
  23. Ellsbury is more handsome and looks less like a caveman.
