  1. Maybe Lugo will get swept up my the momentum on that swing and end up looping a hit, who knows. Ok ok ok, so thats a stretch, but really insurance run, thats great.
  2. Awesome. Good outing from Beckett, had to grind a little at the end but gives it to the pen with a lead, hopefully it remains that way.
  3. Come on, grind this out, #11 is within reach right now.
  4. that shoulda been gone.
  5. I do not think so, but maybe. I'd give it to him for one more.
  6. Ortiz represents his pitchers and when he gets a close call from a guy squeezing his pitcher, he lets them know. Noble enough.
  7. man, beckett needs to get this guy or else this turns into a big situation. here we go, just get him, don't matter how.
  8. Maybe Cora can tell Lugo about what its like to be on the bases and spark some curiosity in him and maybe he'll try getting on base.
  9. Crisp is even making good loud outs. You know a guy is really hot (or bouncing back) when even their outs are loud. Good solid contact by Crisp, not something we've seen from him yet this season. Good for him.
  10. Lugo is terrible, so I have made the proper adjustments to my signature in hopes that Theo peruses the internet for fan opinion and sees my obvious disapproval. I hope it means something to him. Kouzmanoff throws like a girl, anyone agree?
  11. Did he actually throw it that hard or do you think it was something up with the gun? I didn't catch it, I was making myself a quite delicious sandwich that I am now sharing with my keyboard. Goddamn mustard all over my fingers.
  12. The pads are just sloppy. Peavy's location is bad, he didn't show up today and the Pads D is looking suspect at best.
  13. Cora for shortstop, Lugo for batboy? Anyone?
  14. A-rod, Reyes, Sizemore, Felix, Cabrera, Pujols and Wright are my top candidates. Papelbon, Lincecum, Hamels, and Mauer are good choices too but on the bubble for me. Mauer for durability concerns, 2/3 major league seasons have been derailed so far and Hamels and Lincecum are relatively untested and Papelbon is a reliever so I can't mention him up there with Felix and the guys who play everyday. Out of all of those if I had to pick one to start a franchise with tomorrow, I would go King Felix. Pitching is what good teams are built around, and every good staff has to fall in line behind the ace and this guy is 21 and has some of the best stuff I've ever seen. If this were one of those video game fantasy drafts, he'd be my number one pick. He has a chance to be amazing.
  15. Peavy doesn't look so sharp right now. I know he's a beast and his movement is still there, but Coco fouled off a few fastballs that were absolutely grooved. He isn't much of a power guy though and did alright to stay alive and get that hit, but mail one of those in to Ortiz or Manny if they get up and its a 2-0 ball game.
  16. Eh, doesn't matter to me cause I wouldn't take a position player to begin with.
  17. Beckett looks absolutely fantastic. 97 mph? He's feeling good, and the breaker looks nasty. Keep it up.
  18. Delcarmen has been fantastic lately. Hes throwing good strikes and keeping teams in the infield. I like him a lot right now.
  19. The way this night is going... wait... what is that noise? Sounds like someone hammering... oh... thats the guy hammering the last nail in the coffin. Well, thats annoying.
