  1. Well they definatly twisted McClatchy's words. He said that the final decision will be up to Littlefield, BUT he wants someone with MLB experience. If you say it the other way around then it makes sense that Dale would be an option. This is just a way for someone to make a story that's really not true. Fact of the matter is that the Pirates will not make the same mistake they did with McClendon. They're not going to hire someone just because they're cheap, or because of past ties with the team. The Pirates don't actually want to win, but they want to make the fans think they are, and the cheapest way to do that is to hire a manager that people thing could turn the team around. I actually wouldn't be surprised if a new manager came into Pittsburgh and turned the team around a little and maybe got them close to .500, but I really don't see them getting much further than that unless they add some more pieces. Ken Macha said that he thinks the Pirates are a diamond in the rough, and thinks that he could turn the organization around. It'd be interesting to see someone like him here ... someone who has worked with and helped develop young talent, which people say the Pirates have. This really isn't even news. I think the Pirates need 3 more losing seasons to cement their place as the worst francise in baseball. LETS GO BUCS!
  2. ... not for nothing is an expression that italians use. Typing outta instead of out of is just me being lazy, and even if it had something to do with being Italian ... I am. Did you notice the thread compliance thread? Try reading it.
  3. Yeah you can but not when you back track from something you say. You said he was "only" hitting 88 ... like he was throwing 95 last year. Then when I tell you he was only hitting 88 last year you say "oh well it must have been a lifeless 88" do you even know what that means? I think if anything you not knowing how hard Foulke threw last year further cements your status as the Mr. Bandwagon of Talksox. Anyway, to stay on topic, I'm really excited to see Foulke back out there hurlin. Our pitching situation with no ace and no closer was really starting to get me worried, but now Schilling seems to be coming around, and now Foulke. I'm really starting to like our chances more and more every day.
  4. Right because your 12 year old ass is getting laid. Get the f*** outta here. And on a side note: When the hell did everyone become Italian with this not for nothing stuff?
  5. Happy I'm not an admin because that'd be an automatic banning.
  6. Seeing people argue about who's a better person makes you laugh, so you add to the arguement? How does that make sense?
  7. Why do we even have seperate threads? Why not just one giant cluster f*** where we bitch and moan and argue about whatever topic comes up? Because thats pretty much whats going on anyway.
  8. I think you mixed the two. It's Heinz and Hunts.
  9. It has absolutly nothing to do with Schillings next start, but neither does anything past the first page.
  10. This makes me sick. How can you bash a guy for doing something like this. How about we start bashing A-rod for having the biggest contract in sports and not sending one god damn dollar to help.
  11. Thats really a great story. And see Yankee fans ... See it's not always Schilling that's contacting the media.
  12. I think we'll get along just fine. Some have accused me of being a little annoying with some of my stats, but I think any argument should be able to be backed up with stats. We may disagree but the stats will always prove who's right. Welcome, enjoy your stay, and don't be a typical Yankee fan
  13. I only see 1 start for him in his college career.
  14. Well if thats the case then I strongly doubt the Saints will ever be returning to NO. The owner has wanted to move the team for years now and this just gives him a reason to do so. I think it's really the worst possible time for the Saints to leave. It's kinda like breaking up with a girl after she gets a disfiguring scar on her face.
  15. They said on ESPN Radio this morning that it was a mutual agreement for Raffy to go home. Although I'm sure the Orioles were the ones that brought up the idea.
  16. First of all learn how to spell the guys name before you say anything about him. I'm sure you'd be upset if I spelled Jetar, Sheffeld, and that Alan Rodriguez's name wrong. Like schillingout said click on page 3, and scroll to the bottom.
  17. Wow nice name calling and !!!!!'s you've really gone a long way to prove your maturity. You also calls me about 15 different names in this post. I think it's clear someone can't have an argument above the 5th grade level. How many lefties can you name that hit left handed pitching well? I bet you could count them on one hand. And wow blame the guy for having injuries. No I don't know who the Japanese pitcher is, and you know what? Most people who post a players name that no one knows about, posts his stats too, but you didn't. Has there even been any talk about the Sox bringing him over? I'm sure if the Sox are interested in him they're not the only ones, and again ... THEO WILL NOT OVER PAY FOR PITCHERS. Who said The Pads wanted Wells, and who said Wells would stay in the league to go back to SD? Again you're missing the big point on Wags and AJ. Wasn't it made clear this past off season that THEO ISN'T GOING TO OVER PAY FOR PITCHING? And after last off season isn't it clear that these big name pitchers are going to get over paid? If these are your fantasys then maybe you should just keep them to yourself instead of posting them on here and showing how little baseball/red sox knowledge you have. I'm really sorry man. I mean god forbid anyone disagrees with you.
  18. I don't think you'll want Damon back to much when you see the length and money he's looking for on his next contract. If you're complaining about Manny being overpaid just wait.
  19. First of all how do you know he's calling these talk shows and they're not calling him? Second ... come on dude grow up. When's the last time one of us mentioned the sock thing? It's jealous Yankee fans like you that keep bringing it up ... not us. To think for even a second that he faked the injury is ridiculous. I mean I'm sure he planned to hurt it in the Angels series just so he could come back and be a hero in the ALCS. Yeah he really risked the whole season to make himself out to be a hero ... you're right man ... you caught him. Then he sat out most of this year, and is only now starting again to further sell the injury. You're line of logic makes a lot of sense. He testified because congress subpoenaed him which ment he had to go or else he would have been arrested. Wow attack the guy for being a little extra round this season. Just remember that fatty helped orchestrate the biggest comeback(and CHOKE!) in baseball history.
  20. Man if you're gonna bash Yankee fans there are plenty on this board that deserve it more than empire.
  21. No I can't because Hansen is a closer. He closed in college, and that's what he'll do in the bigs. There is no way that they will make him a starter ... EVER.
  22. More likely just you talking out of your ass.
  23. I hate how everyone calls him a media whore. Is it his fault that reporters ask him questions? Is it his fault congress called him in? Is it his fault the media loves him? Look up at the banner on the site before you start bashing Red Sox ... it says Talksox ... not Talkyankees.
  24. Yeah I strongly doubt he gave a s*** about the Sox until after the ALCS, maybe even the WS. Clearly he knows nothing about anyone on the team so that's the only conclusion I can come to.
