  1. Julio Lugo at shortstop: http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2007/11/16-22/train_wreck-782867.jpg
  2. Lowell is a beast. Ballgame blown open
  3. to me, the entire thing depends on the status of Dice-K's shoulder
  4. I read it, good story but check out the cover story SI did of him about 2 weeks ago. FANTASTIC article
  5. if Manny gets a free pass for his laid back attitude towards the game, then im not gonna criticize Youkilis for his fiery attitude. both should just learn to deal with the fact that they are opposites in their approach to baseball
  6. so ive been away in the dominican republic for a week and have been reduced to looking at box scores all week. the one question I have coming is....when the hell did Craig Hansen become a dependable reliever?!
  7. he was a very talented prospect who ended up being a good to pretty good pro. thats it
  8. he is what he is. a solid bat who plays a good RF but its a mistake to rely on him for a ton and granted his salary implies that more should be expected but that isnt his fault, thats the FO's fault. the team's pro scouting, for the most part, is awful
  9. I supposed Hamilton could do it, the guy is a freak. As far as Berkman goes, Chipper is having a beast of a year too...
  10. I'll agree that for every good move Theo makes, he makes a bad one but to be fair, Papi isn't even in Boston without Theo
  11. Drew is pretty much on pace for his typical season: - He's a .284 career hitter and he's at .282 right now - He has a .379 OBP and his career average is .390 - He's averaged about one RBI every 2 games over his career and he's right on that pace this year The only real thing that's off are his homers. He averages 25 HRs every 162 games and this year, he'll probably have 15. Drew is what he is and what he's always been and he's probably feeling the various injuries he's had over the years cause he isn't a young pup anymore. The price tag raises expectations to an unreasonable level
  12. .....has 58 f***ing RBIs. are you kidding me?!
  13. 2007 Coco woulda had it
  14. wow, ian kennedy really sucks
  15. fair enough. would any of the yankees fans here care to give a prediction as to what his ERA will be like come September?
  16. im sure he can maintain a sub-4.50 ERA but when 26 to 6 says he "can't say one way or the other" about whether he can keep up the pace he's had over the last 4 games, well im a little less optimistic than he is
  17. its probably a tad unrealistic for him to maintain a "Pedro-in-his-prime"-esque 1.80 ERA for the next 4 months. would that be enough justification?
  18. over/under on Dice-BB's walks: 5 thoughts anyone?
  19. the key: start a thread for a home game
  20. can we just win a f***ing game on the road?! oh, and for anyone who wondered what Andre the Giant wouldve looked like in a Red Sox cap... http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_112526.jpg
