    That's not true, at least as far as Fenway was concerned ( I don't know about the stadium ). Most of the stuff was good natured. When things broke out it was usually in the bleachers in the latter innings. That was mostly in the days of beer being sold through-out the game. However, the seventh inning cut-off helped it didn't stop it. There's always going to be people who get tanked or high before they go to a game ( both sides ). Personally, I always preffered NY vs Sox games just because they were more intense.

    Well at least you'll keep honest and spark a little rivalry ( like Sox and Yanks fan don't have enough ). But you're right, how many games are you in front ? We may not be able to say for long, but we are the reigning Worls Champs. lol

    If Washburn becomes a free agent, they can't trade him. Even if they sign him, Bonds is, I believe, a 5/10 player and could and probably would veto the trade.

    That formula is not entirely accurate.. When applied to a divisional race : if a team in first has a better head to head record against the second place team, then the +1 part of the formula is not needed due to tie breaking rules.

    I don't think this can be deemed a true test for a couple of reasons. If he does well, there are those who say that its KC, the worst team in the league. Second, he'll probably be on a pitch count of around 70. Which would be about 4 + innings, with Papelbon in relief. So we'll see how he does and hope this is the first step towards getting the old Schilling back.
