    HE DIDNT WANT TO BE DEPTH. He wanted to play (at the expense of Gonzalez in RF), which is why he was bitching and moaning to begin with. Stealing at bats from the kid, injury or not was robbery considering that in my mind, they have never had a real shot at winning anything. He was beyond awful with us, and he was starting to chirp. Time to go. A lot of times we see eye to eye....but not lately, especially in this thread where it seems you just like to complain......just to complain.

    Cherington is not running the show. Iglesias sucks, and will NEVER hit at a big league level. NEVER...put this in your sig if you like. He is valuable to a handful of teams in the AL. I think he has 10/5 rights as of this year and will NOT accept a trade to any team in the NL. He will also not accept a trade to a s***** team. The reason he keeps signing 1 year deals with us, is because he is worthless in the NL and all the contending AL teams already have somebody who does what he does......for cheaper money.

    I didn't say he could close. What I said is that it showed something about his character and intentions. Nobody said he had the balls to close, because he never did.

    .....and again, Kevin Millar, who was a OF with the Marlins, was named the starting 1B'man for the Redsox over Ortiz, even though Millar looked pretty un-athletic and immobile over there at times. They chose an OF from the Marlins to play 1B over Ortiz, because Ortiz was not very good. Ortiz also backed up Ron Coomer as a youngster in MIN before Mientkiewicz. At 24 he was already a fulltime DH.

    Its not BC's fault. Hes the general manager in name/title only. Much of this is Bard's fault as well. The experiment from day 1 was a failure. When the sox were looking for a closer in the first 10 games of the year, Bard should have stepped up when it looked like he wouldn't even be a #4 or #5 starter (which many of you argued with me about during the offseason). Instead, he cared only about the big payday he had coming his way if the transition was successful.

    And the only problem I have is Scutaro. The rest, minus Masterson.....is garbage. Hopefully Beckett and Ortiz make that list next year.

    I would not be shocked if he were juicing, and I will not be upset if he doesn't return next year. He has NOTHING to gripe about. They offered arbitration, he ACCEPTED it, then they NEGOTIATED a price. If he didn't like it, he shouldn't have accepted arbitration.

    Jeter is not a liability. He is not Jose Offerman kicking and bobbling every ball hit his way and committing 42 errors a season.....he makes the routine plays. The thing gives Jeter such a bad reputation is that he has the range of a gravestone.

    This Doolittle kid........1 year after transformation, has EXCELLENT mechanics.

    So Cy Young must have been terrible......you know, since we have the second best offense in baseball.
