  1. oh man, Dojji is on the loose again......
  2. With WMB hitting so well and Mike Napoli injured, why not let XB take some groundballs at 1B? I wouldn't want to disrupt WMB's current mojo.
  3. If he deserves credit for this year, then he deserves criticism for the last 2 years. The reason they are pitching well, is because of the hard work of Juan Nieves and John Farrell.
  4. Pedroia. He is the glue that keeps it together.
  5. What did he do with the Jets last year? They Jets were awful and couldn't find enough snaps for him. If they Pats view Brady #1 and Mallet #2, then when will he get on the field? The Patriot will NEVER take Tom Brady off the field in favor of Tebow, and it makes little sense to put him in the backfield since all of their RB's are better than him and the fact that he can't throw the ball. Hell, iI'd be willing to say that one of those RB's can throw the ball better than him. He will be on the field less, and make far less plays than any of those RB's. He would be great on a team like the Jaguars or Chiefs.
  6. No f'n way.......If it comes down him Tebow or Ridley, Vereen, Bolden, Washington, Hoomanawanui or Garrett.......I cut Tebow any day of the week. Any one of those guys are more valuable than a 3rd string QB who can't throw. Tebow didn't see a single snap in the third game to boot. Not a good sign for him.
  7. I think unlike the Jets, the Pats won't be stupid enough to carry him if he brings no value. He has zero value as a QB, and I dont think he longsnaps. Id rather carry the 5 RBs in camp than 3 QB's.
  8. Please just stop giving him at bats. He looks like hes cooked.
  9. He has been the real Lester all year. Really good and really bad. He will finish the year 13 or 14 wins and a 3.80-4.00 ERA, same as always. The only thing consistent about Jon Lester, is that be will be inconsistent.
  10. Except when the bases are loaded with 2 outs and Iglesias is coming up down by 2.
  11. Barry Bonds? Id compare him more to Kenny Lofton. Ellsbury is not coming back. There has literally been zero effort or discussion about the possibility of him returning. The Redsox don't want him back and Boras has already priced him out of Boston. Its not going to happen, regardless of how talented he is.
  12. Stats were not needed to predict whether or not Iglesias would fall back to earth. All you had to do was look at his timid batting approach and watch the way the ball came off the bat. He looked like he was swinging a swimming pool "noodle".
  13. Id really like to see Drew return next year.
  14. Redsox are going to be fine. I predicted 90+ wins, and I still think they will reach that number. Its just the ebb and flow of the season. Relax, this team is not built with the same overpaid, under performing, heartless, selfish *******s that the 2011 team consisted of. The simple fact that the poison Josh Beckett is not in the clubhouse makes this team a stronger group. This team has more of a 2003/2004 "cowboy up" vibe then a 2011 vibe.
  15. I can agree with this as well. Pal, is Lee Smith a HOF then?
  16. Favorites: Stephen Drew and Johhny Gomes. Nava has started to grow on me as well, for once.....Dojji was right. I definitely counted him out too early. Ortiz and Pedroia don't count, you are supposed to love those guys! Least favorite: Salty by a mile, followed by Napoli. Neither of those guys get on base enough or hit with enough power to balance out their ridiculous amount of strikeouts.
  17. He did it, and its a slam dunk. Hernandez did it as well, I knew within 2 hours of his arrest of the case they had against him. Rock solid. Bristol tried to send Hernandez to my facility, thank god we turned that away. We already have enough high profilers with the bomber and his buddies.
  18. Carp is not a full time major league 1B. Nava is not a full time major league 1B'man either. Both of those guys are excellent platoon players (yes, I said Nava and great in the same sentence) and should return in their roles next year. .......Mike Napoli is also not a full time major league 1B'man. Napoli should be a platoon man, just the same as Gomes. I wish Gomes could play a littler 1B. They would have a solid rotation between 1B and LF between Carp, Gomes and Nava.
  19. I like this comment. Well said.
  20. Yeah, we don't really need him. We have the best offense in baseball right now. In the offseason their focus should be on getting a real #2. Laptop is your 1, Lackey is your 3, Doubront is your 4 and Peavy will be your 5. We need a real #2, and some additional help from the right side in the pen. Stanton scares the hell out of me, the ability is through the roof. I think he has the ability to be one of the best, but there is also a chance that 2012 is an aberration, with 2010, 2011 and 2013 being the norm .....the amount of talent he will cost in a trade would never be worth the production. Too much high end talent to sacrifice for 1 player. Yes. And even at that point, would he really be worth it? We seem to have put together a pretty solid offensive club, and none of the guys have monster contracts.
  21. Next year, when Ellsbury leaves (he will) does Victorino have more value in RF or CF?
