  1. I hope he doesnt come back next year somehow....someway......god Theo, what were you thinking?
  2. How many times has he done that this year?\
  3. Knock him if you want, hes a hall of famer and one of the first true "shut down" labeled CB's. When he was on the field opposing coaches would simply ignore the whole left side of the field because he was standing over there.
  4. Other players who switched positions.....how about Biggio? CF, LF, C, 2B. Also there is Sheffield who was a SS, and 3B before becoming a pretty good OF. Manny Ramirez was a 3B in high school before being drafted. Troy Percival was a catcher. Swiching sports.....Mark Hendrickson was an NBA foward and now big league pitcher.
  5. Guillen delivers.
  6. Even though Im not sure if I agree with it, I have a strange feeling it could be Hinske who goes, and Ellsbury will stay up for the stretch run since they are both lefties. He will be used as a defensive replacement, baseunner and spot starter.
  7. I am not scratching my head. Instead, I am relaxed scratching my balls knowing that Pineiro will never again pitch on the mound as a member of the BoSox. I think this is another example of how awful NL baseball is. Time and time again these pieces of trash go to the NL and find success. Its quite embarassing for their league and it really doesnt say much about NL offenses when a guy is standing on the mound with a brown spot on the rear end of his pants and the deer in headlights look on his face. EDIT: Example #2 of s***** NL baseball. JC Romero.
  8. K's the side, but still looked a little shaky. I thought he threw too many of those s***** hanging breaking balls, he missed by a lot with the fastball (including one right down the middle which was fouled off), but his change did look better.
  9. Yeah, its time to panic. This team is starting to look pretty pathetic.
  10. He was given an opportunity to play this year had he done anything positive at the plate. JD Drew handed him an opportunity to play and WMP continued to suck. The job could have been his if he would have showed any life at the plate.
  11. I think that everyone is also forgetting that there were rumors that Hanley was not as good as he was touted and RS management was accused of talking him up to increase his trade value after his pedestrian 2003 season in A and 2005 season in AA. I dont think Sox management thought he would really turn out to be this good....instead they claimed he would only to increase his value in a trade.
  12. WMP.....you have to earn your job bro. You have had a golden opportunity too, so you really cant say you havent. With the way JD Drew played this year.......if you had hit even .250 with power you would probably be the starting RF and all the Dye talk never would have surfaced in the first place. You sucked, didnt shine in the opportunities to merit more ABs and should shut up and learn how to hit like a big leaguer in AAA.
  13. Shawn Kemp baby. He brings it to the rack.....the donut rack, with donuts covered in a questionable white powder.
  14. eeeeeek....i dont know if I throw Lester in that deal either Schill. I guess you have to throw some value in that deal, but I dont want to give up a Lefty who throws low to mid 90's.
  15. No, they are both terrible at the plate this year, but Hinske hits LH and plays many more positions fair to better than WMP does. I throw the LH part in there because there are many more RH's then LH pitchers. Either way hopefully WMP clears and gets better in AAA.
  16. Papelbon is not a starting pitcher. He never had been save for a few starts in the minors. He was a reliever in college...and we tried to make him a starting pitcher. Does anyone remember Mariano Rivera as a starting pitcher? No...because he sucked. Does anyone remember the Eck as a starter or a reliever......I can tell you one thing, had he not made the change he woulda retired by 1990. Does anyone remember Jason Isringhausen as a starter? No because he sucked. How about Tom Gordon as a starter....sucked. Jose Mesa...sucked. Robb Nen....sucked. Foulke..sucked. Gagne himself....not very good. Papelbon is money as a closer, and suited for the role. Im not saying he cant start, but there are plenty of great closers out there who just couldnt start ballgames. Leave him alone, he is money.
  17. Awful inning, and only down by 1...incredible.
  18. Jesus Timlin......doing everything possible to lose this game.
