  1. And that changes the fact he would have been a cancer to this team? Same tired act, new city. GREAT move. See ya later Randy. PS: If MIN doesnt give him an extension, they can expect his ******** to continue. You think he wanted to be traded? NO, he wanted a contract for next season in the fear of a lockout. HIS ******** will continue until he gets a deal.
  2. Clay Bucholz's No-Hitter. We were sitting in the RF grandstands harassing Markakis all night. He was up in the ninth inning and ended up striking out but I was s***ing my pants that hed get a hit bc I was riding him all night long.
  3. Moss took them away from gave them their success. He made them play away from their strengths. Dojji, why dont you post at talkpats?
  4. WHAT THE s*** HAPPENED HERE TODAY!!!!!
  5. Good move by NE. No more wasted downs by throwing deep incomplete passes just to make him feel happy. Stretch the field? Yeah when he feels like selling out a go route. Pretty sweet block he whiffed on last week on a WR screen too. This team has the weapons to go over the middle and use play action. They have also been able to run the ball a little. How many championships did they win with Moss? They won them with guys like Brown, Patten and Branch. HOF? Sure....Ill take a ring over your career achievements Randy. See ya later.
  6. Pats fans, please join us at talkpats.com for the big game 2nite. Major divisional implications for this game.
  7. RIP 2010. Ladies and gentleman, Sean Michaels has left the building.
  8. I think Lowrie has a career that parallels Tim Naehring. Both have the talent to be very good players but cant stay on the field. I think they are eerily similar.
  9. I would love to have Dunn as well. Over Ortiz if thats what it comes down to. Defensive flexibility allowing multiple players rotating between LF/3B/1B and DH. Could they do Crawford/Dunn/Beltre and Vmart all in this offseason?
  10. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/baseball/red_sox/view.bg?articleid=1285116&format=text Asked about his baseball future and the possibility of not returning to Boston: “You try not to think about it,” Varitek said, his eyes watering, “and I hope you guys don’t ask me too much about it over the weekend. But it’s there. Definitely.” He might know something we dont know. He might have already been told he will not be coming back.
  11. Millwood wants to play for a contender. What kind of money do you think he will be looking for? If its short money, maybe he could used to light a fire under the asses of DiceK, Beckett and Lackey. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/bs-sp-orioles-0930,0,1070742,print.story
  12. Not going to happen. The interest probably has other motives, like driving up the price.
  13. They dont have similar bodies. Cecil was leaner in his prime which is concerning. Actually Cecil was about half his size.
  14. I agree with this. Ive called the FO cheap all season long due to recent transactions since the DiceK signing and I have been called out on it. We will see this offseason. There is not too too much they have to do. Lets see how they spend the money. 1. Re-sign the players up for FA (minus maybe Ortiz). 2. Revamp the entire bullpen except Paps and Bard (RP's arent going to break the bank). 3. Sign a bat, and I dont care what position it is......if Ortiz is out of town, we can rotate guys at DH. 4. Sign a SP with the intent of getting Beckett, Lackey and DiceK's ass in gear. If the guy they sign is performing better than Beckett....sorry Joshy, you are in the bullpen and your career downward spiral opens a new chapter..."overpaid underachieving relief pitcher".
  15. Any chance Tek hangs them up this offseason? I think he is not back. I can see a team overpaying for him to help out a young staff, like Oakland or Baltimore.
  16. 100% agreed. Its also too bad that McDonald has played himself out of Boston. He has earned regular playing time with another team next year.
  17. Why wouldnt Vmart be catching in 3 or 4 years? He did fine this year....actually hes gotten better since the day we got him. Vmart is a better defensive catcher than Salty and if anything is certain, its that Salty will be the one not catching 3 or 4 years from now....he might not even still be professional baseball player in 3 or 4 years. Salty has rotted in the minors due to the fact that he is a brutal defensive catcher and hasnt hit well enough to be on a MLB roster in ANY capacity. I think we are discounting how good Vmart really is. Hes one of the top 3 offensive catchers in baseball. "Figuring something out" with the most important position on the field is not good enough in my opinion.
  18. I specifically made a thread about 4-5 months ago apologizing and admitting my defeats so screw you *******!!!!!! JK, I really was truly wrong though. One thing I wont be wrong about, he is not coming back.....and if I had a choice between him and Vmart, I take Vmart.
