  1. The above post was made 10/6, right after the move. LOL @ everyone who said I was crazy when I agreed with the move and said that Minnesota would be an offensive juggernaut now that they had Moss. LOL @ Favre and the Minnesota Vikings. I was for the move the whole way, now we are 6-1. Re-reading this thread makes me laugh.
  2. Good game between the Vikes and Pats, join us at talkpats!
  3. Nope, thanks for assuming though. Is Alex Gordon still considered the next George Brett?
  4. Emmz where are you? Youre Vikings are in a great game with GB......IN GB!!!
  5. Join us for the second half of the MIN GB game!!!
  6. very active board over at talkpats.com right now..... come join us for the fun!
  7. Like Shawon Dunston and Jose Offerman.
  8. yes, monetary dispute when he was a FA.
  9. Dont look at it that way. Look at it as Maroney for Branch (same draft pick). They would have got nothing from Maroney all year. Lets see what Branch gets us.
  10. Jets vs. Vikings tonight. Hope to see a big crowd over at talkpats. Should be an intersting game. Even if you are not a Pats fan this game has a little bit or everything. Hope to see you there!
  11. Average? Really?
  12. Anybody know or hear anything on this front? Think he can come back next year and give us anything? If he takes a minor league deal I dont see why not. He might be able to give us something off the bench with a whole of recovery under him now.
  13. All time? Yeah...you said it. I love how you live in Minnesota, but you are going to tell me how they won championships. Like I wasnt the one watching the games. Like I wasnt the one following the team. Do me a favor, look at time of possession during the championship years. Tell me how long the defense was on the field. Then tell me how many yards the defense gave up in comparison to other NFL teams. They were at the bottom, and they werent on the field all that long. ....and they are reloading. You disregarded the fact that they now have 8 draft picks in the first 3 rounds next year. One of which by trading a WR who wasnt going to be here past the end of the season anyway. Emmz, I will not focus on what your team will do and I do apologize if you thought I was attacking you. I am more concerned about what the Pats will do this season and in future seasons. I wish the best of luck to your team. I am sorry and did not mean to anger you. I think the interests of both of our teams may have taken the original purpose of the thread off the tracks.
  14. Those 2 drafts produced 2 starters on their defense. Those 2 players have the potential to be impact players. Both players have the opportunity to be leaders on that defense. I dont think they were busts. The Maroney draft was a disaster.
  15. You can say what you want about the drafts, but look at their current defense. Their whole defense is guys who have been drafted by the Pats over the past few seasons. Are they good right now? No....they suck....but they will mature, they will learn and they will get better. Just because the drafts haven't provided immediate success does not make them a failure. The only draft that was a complete bust was the year they drafted Maroney (everybody but Gostowski is no longer on the team) in the first round. I do agree and I get frustrated when they continually trade down, but I really believe that this defense.....a defense full of draft picks acquired by trading down will eventually break through. Try to see the big picture. The entire defense is guys with 3 or less years. They have 8 draft picks in the first 3 rounds next season. They have a young and talented receiving corps. They have a relatively young productive offensive line. They look like they might have found a serviceable RB who is also only in his third year. They have special teams locked up with a rookie punter and an all-pro kicker. All these young parts and they are STILL winning. There is a method behind the madness.
  16. Maybe, what does that have to do with supporting the teams decision to get rid of Moss?
  17. In response to what just about everyone else is saying. Remember I am not saying Moss was a s***** player. Remember, I made the above post last night. A700, I am putting a positive spin on it because this is the best thing that could of happened. Things were going to get worse before they get better. The Patriots got jobbed? Are you f***ing serious? THEY HAD TO GET RID OF HIM. Had they not traded him, they would have probably released him. If anything, the Vikings gave up too much. Moss would not of lasted the season here. He opened up his mouth after week 1. The first friggin game he was already bitching. The Patriots are not a better team without him, but again things would of gotten worse before they got better. All they did was fast forward 13 weeks. Moss wasnt coming back anyway and his bitching had already started. See ya later Moss, good riddance.
  18. How did Troy Brown get open then? He essentially did the same thing Welker does. s***, we dont have David Patten to run those deep routes, were screwed. Welker will get open. We can play action now, we can throw to 3 TE's, we can throw to Edelman, we can throw to Tate. We can run a little more now. We can focus more on what made us a dynasty in the first place by doing the simple things on offense. Ground and pound, time of possession, 3rd and short downs as well as high percentage passing is the formula we used in the past. Maybe it is time to go back there. What did you expect Brady to do when Randy mouthed off? Throw him under the bus? They probably weren't going to win the super bowl anyway. This changes nothing. If anything the "life without Randy Moss" experiment got a 12 week head start. Are the Vikings better? yeah they are....but it doesnt change the fact that the Moss issue in NE was only going to get worse before it got better.
