  1. How much longer of a leash does JD get? Hes been absolutely terrible, thankfully we have been winning. I think there is a strong possibility that a deal gets done at the deadline to either platoon with JD or take over completely for the rest of the year as it appears Cameron is also toast. Thoughts?
  2. I am one of the longest active members of this forum man, been a part of this forum 6 of the 7 years its existed. Ive seen members like you come and go, trust me when I say that if you continue the way you have, you wont last. Im done with responding to you on this matter, I know the rules and the regs.....and will end this before it becomes a sore spot with the admin and moderators of the forum.
  3. Yup, it sucks now. So much better in the mid-90's early 2000's (before 2004).
  4. I bought every episode of Monday Night Nitro......pretty awesome to have. Wrestling sucks now and has sucked for almost 10 years. I was never in to Nitro, I was a huge RAW guy back in the day. $90 dollars bought me every single episode from 1995-2000. Its too bad WCW went under, it was a damn good product for quite a while.
  5. Offer him a 2 year deal, 10M per year.
  6. Around here, as in this forum? It was everywhere a couple years back man, where the hell have you been? http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=gsqvhc&xhr=t&q=dougies+going+deep&cp=7&qe=ZG91Z2llcw&qesig=BnBbNKdCXPepo1mylCZypg&pkc=AFgZ2tni_jU5H0YPZ2-Us0LevAHwoSYveSrjKuJXeVc7BcywWb2GMq-3xGnb79PigtjB4UyieSV-XcfwGEQHCdq7bcBaBh7Zpw&pf=p&sclient=psy&source=hp&aq=0&aqi=&aql=f&oq=dougies&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=a17560d1ef61d5f5&biw=1024&bih=653 Extended version over at SOSH: http://sonsofsamhorn.net/wiki/index.php/Dougie's_Diary

  8. wow.... facepalm, not even close. DOUGIES GOING DEEP!!!!!
  9. http://www.wheresweems.com/?p=7552 good stuff.............
  10. Yup. 7 teams right now arent even selling out 50% of their seats. KC is at 49.3 Arizona is 47.1 Baltimore is 45.0 Seattle is 44.3 Florida is 43.9 Cleveland is 43.5 Toronto is 42.5 Conversely, only 4 teams selling out 90% or more of their seats. Think about that, only 4 teams out of 30 fill their stadiums. Philadelphia is 104.1 Boston is 101.0 San Fran is 99.4 Minnesota is 98.2 After those 4 teams, its a pretty significant drop with the Yankees selling 86.7% of their tickets on a nightly average. Expansion is the worst possible idea for baseball. Montreal should have been contracted, not relocated and the Marlins have been a disgrace for over 10 years. Even in 2003 when the won the world series, they were only selling 44.8% of their seats. Take baseball out of Florida completely. Relocate the Devil Rays, fans in Florida don't deserve a baseball team, they certainly don't care about professional baseball since nobody ever shows up to the games to either team.
  11. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT SEABEACH IS BACK?????????? WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seabeach.....what team do you root for now???? Wait a minute, could it be.............could it be that six4three and seabeach are the same person???? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. You make a living off of your baseball IQ? You are telling us that you make money off of your baseball IQ? Explain, Id love to hear it! Are you a scout? Do you work for a baseball team? Maybe I underestimated you!
  13. If Clemens and Bonds are locks, then you cant say Manny, Sheffield, Sosa and McGwire will remain out. If anything, I think you have it opposite. Bonds and Clemens are disgusting human beings and the people who have the authority to vote them in continue to rip them in the press. Ortiz will not be in the HOF, and it is not because of steroids. The greatest DH of all time (Edgar Martinez) might make it, but many "experts" go back and forth with it because he was a DH. Martinez finished with a career OPS (on base + slugging, probably the most important offensive statistic since you dont know what it is six4three) of .933. Ortiz currently has a career OPS of .922. Ortiz doesn't have a chance.
  14. Guys, its really not worth it. He is clearly does not have a very high baseball IQ and no matter how it is spelled out or explained, he will not understand. He is a Sox fan though, so lets not bash him.
  15. Yeah, I am not even going to waste my time with it anymore, clearly he just doesn't get it. Apparently, all of baseball has been wrong with the way they evaluate players in the last 10-12 years.
  16. Wow, really? You don't get it, no matter how its spelled out. You completely missed the target with my comment. I'll try again. YOU CANNOT COMPARE THE PRODUCTION OF PEDROIA TO CRAWFORD USING OTHER PLAYERS AS VARIABLES. Is that clear enough? Also, if you read ORS's post and understood it, you would see that your argument is completely wrong is proven wrong with statistics, not opinion, which means you clearly did not understand it.
  17. This might be one of the weakest arguments I have ever seen, and I cannot believe you actually put time in to posting this. You are going to argue Crawford over Pedroia based on OTHER PLAYERS variables? Get that crap out of here. Speed is overrated if you cant even get on base, how many more times do you have to hear this? Did you even read ORS's post??? Clearly you didnt, so I will quote it for you: BTW, dont be shocked that Crawford is STILL NOT hitting second even with Pedroia out.
  18. Boston is still a hockey town, home of one of the original 6 teams with a storied history. Fans have had nothing to cheer about with them since the early 90's. All those fans who maybe lost interest bc of s***** GM's, s***** teams and the strike have returned......and they have spiked the interest of their sons/daughters/casual sports fans. Casual sports fans are more interested in the Bruins right now and many of the pink hats turned their attention away from the RedSox because of last years team.
  19. Bruins werent in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last year. Bruins and Celtics playoff runs have taken away everyones undivided attention.
  20. Im tired about reading/watching about how Dice-K was ineffective because of throwing programs and training regimens. So let me get this straight, last year it was the RedSox's fault that Dice-K showed up looking like his whole off-season consisted of Big Macs and sitting on the couch? Thats such a copout. He cared so much about the RedSox, he blew out his arm in the world baseball classic last year....dialing it up in exhibition games when he was fat and out of shape which probably started a long chain reaction of health issues that put him where he is today. Ever think that the reason Dice-K struggled throughout much of his tenure here.......was because he just wasn't that good? Sometimes its that simple. Dice-K is just another example in a long list of failed japanese pitchers and how much of a waste of time and money they are.
  21. Correct. He wasnt getting base hits either which lead to criticism that he brought on himself. Speaking about what he was paid for, does he even have 10 SB's yet?
