I didn't direct the comment solely at you, but I did quote you because your point afforded the flip side to the coin. That said, my point remains, many are on board to deny such a move without having all the facts at hand. That's silly. If such a trade is made, I seriously doubt Dice K is headed to KC. They'd be much more interested in cheap, young kids with a future. I think the 8-pitch wonder would still be directed at points west, and an acquisition of a pitcher like Greinke would tell us that it IS going to happen.

Nonsense. There were 3 picks between where MSU picked up Rivers and your 3rd pick. Two of those players already had a QB, one didn't have a RB yet and picked Jamaal Charles. He would have absolutely been there for your 3rd pick.

None of this makes what you did a good trade. Whether or not Rivers produces more FFB points than Brees is immaterial, because you drafted Brees ahead of Rivers, meaning you could have had the guy you wanted plus any one of these 16 players drafted in between: Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Miles Austin, DeAngelo Williams, Calvin Johnson, Steven Jackson, Ryan Grant, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, Tony Romo, Roddy White, Pierre Thomas, Cedric Benson, Desean Jackson, Matt Shaub, Jahvid Best. Several of those players make you instantly better. You can't tell me you wouldn't want one of them, and you left that on the table, which makes it a foolish trade. If you were so certain that Rivers would be better, you would have picked up one of them and drafted him later. Besides, the upgrade from Rivers to Brees right now is 16 points, 3.3 points a week. Your success is more likely due to the ridiculous numbers from your TE's.

They went 4-4, getting swept in April, a month in which they were 11-12, then went 4-1 the rest of the way, with the 1 loss a 1-run loss. I agree with the idea that Texas looks like a tougher matchup at this point.

You asked for general, but unfortunately you received some specific responses, with the specifics detailing some of the metrics that will, in no way, be helpful to understanding how this will impact Liverpool FC. Generally, what "metrics" means in regards to sports performance analysis is formulae that attempt to make data meaningful where it matters most, whether or not good performance in the data fields leads to winning more games. I don't follow football all that closely, so I don't know what metrics will be helpful in fielding a better team, but you can count on one thing happening. John Henry will use those that do and employ the services of those who are likely to identify more.

Never listen to any roto-babble. The reports convinced me Tolbert would see reduced action with after his fumble in week 3 and Mathews returning. One hundred yards and a TD later, I can't get him back because of the stupid waiver rules. Then it's reported McCoy is hurt. FML.
