Of course the Yankees will make it interesting. What isn't interesting about seeing a $208 million payroll play .500 ball? Do you realize that at $208 million the Yankees are spending $84.8 million more than the next highest team, the Sox? That means that 20 teams (2/3 of the league) spend less money than the DIFFERENCE between the Yankees and the Sox. If they don't make the playoffs, this may be an even bigger choke than the ALCS of last year. What isn't interesting about colassal chokes?
I, too, would like to see Olerud and Nixon play more regularly. My only hope is that the front office is trying to let Payton play (and hopefully perform) to give him a little lustre in the trade market because we can afford to give up some pop for the ability to hold the lead.
HAHAHAHA!....We have stepped into the 9th ring of hell. I just witnessed, and I still don't believe it, a Yankee fan whining about how tough it is to recover from a devastating loss ..... ON A RED SOX MESSAGE BOARD!!! Where am I?
Mantei: 32 pitches, 19 balls, 4 walks, a double....hit the showers
Halama: allowed all three inheritted runners to plate, and then threw in one of his own
15-1, we need help in the pen!!!!
On PTI Billy Wagner said he doesn't see the Phils making the playoffs right now and didn't seem happy. Should the Sox make a move for him, and at what cost? Discuss....
