  1. Boy you got me there. Why don't you try reading my sig, it applies to you.
  2. Yet you continue to respond. P.S. They have medication that will make the voices in your head quieter if you are having a hard time ignoring them.
  3. Arthur Rhodes serves up a meatball to Matsui-san....7-6, He of the large Dome (Giambi) up with 1 out in the bottom of the 8th
  4. Well now you admitted the upcoming schedule is a challenge.......earlier it was "we wil win". Totally different, totally respectable.
  5. I don't think you are taking into account how important pitching is going to be during this stretch in your schedule. Not only do all the teams you play have a winning record, but they are hitting the heck out of the ball right now. Sure, Moose and the Unit will get you some wins during that month, but what happens if they have an off game (like they have each done more than once this year)? Wang's been serviceable, but very hittable too. He's managed to wiggle out of several innings where it looked like crooked numbers were about to go up. That's 3 starters. May started today (1st start) and served up 3 shots of "Jack" in a 7 ER, 4 1/3 IP performance. Sturtze is your other spot starter, and he got creamed in his first start against the O's. Wright and Pavano are close to coming back, but they have been extremely hittable this year, so that wouldn't fill me with confidence. I'm concerned. Concerned about how we play, how you play, and how the O's and Jay's play. I'm confident too. We have a good squad, and if we can find consistant relief out of someone (Timlin, Schilling, whoever), I think we can go on a good run. But I'm also willing to admit that some things about this team don't make me comfortable. I think you, and several other Yankee fans, are approaching this next month with blinders on when you say "Don't worry, we will win most of the games against those good teams". Confidence in your team is admirable, but "blind faith" without acknowleding the difficulty ahead seems less like confidence and more like denial.
  6. I could live with the strikeouts if they were accompanied by some average production (i.e. .270 BA and 10-15 HR), but to strikeout 32% of your plate appearances while only hitting .224 with 6 HR just ain't cuttin' it. Call up Pedroia in the 2nd half, get him ready for next year.
  7. I'll be pissed if Tito uses him or Timlin (if Rogers declines), we got the Yanks coming up after the break. Rest 'em.
  8. 5-2 Tribe, 2 outs in the top of the 3rd.....3 gopher balls by May thus far
  9. JeterWifey213, your sig is like asking me "Why don't you like me?", while pissing on my leg.
  10. Palmeiro's killing us today..... oh well, better to lose to a classy HOF'er instead of a guy named Melvin, like in game 1.
  11. 102 K's for Bellhorn before the break. Bring Pedroia up.
  12. Ortiz got ROBBED!!!!! Matos gets a webgem today for robbing a 3-run shot.......DAMN!
  13. Good second inning for Miller. He got by with giving up only 1 in the first. His last few starts he's been pretty solid after rocking 1st innings.
  14. Just let them play the games? Sounds like you don't think we should talk about it. Funny, since you posted that in a discussion forum. If that's how you truly feel, then why do you bother to post?
  15. Funny, it's on here in Florida.
  16. My problem with it wouldn't be the lack of power, but the change in mechanics that might throw off his timing.
  17. It has to do with hitting mechanics. Pull hitters tend to open their hips early to generate power, so even on outside pitches they tend to hit to one side of the field. A good example of someone not open their hips as quickly is Manny, who hits to all fields. Pull hitters can hit the ball to opposite fields, but it is usually due to being a little late on the pitch. For Ortiz to try and hit the ball the other way would require a slight mechanical change, which might throw off his timing. Don't fix it if it ain't broken.
  18. Your statement about me being naive would be true if your supporting statements were correct; however, they aren't. I never once said the Yankees were out of it, nor did I say that we would run away with it. I maintain that your inability to critically analyze the situation concerning the Yankees rotation and schedule destroys any possibility of you sounding credible. Consequently, you need not worry, for I have determined that responding to your posts is an utter waste of my time and energy.
  19. I'm in favor of a warning from the Mods. WhereisNomar joined yesterday and here are the threads I already take issue with: The Curse of the Tito (2 with the same title, 1 in Talksox, the other in GameThreads) Schilling in Bullpen (in Talksox, there are at least 5 other threads on the subject) Cora-Posada resemblance? (in Talksox, why it isn't in fights-n-crap is beyond me) Schilling blullpen debut (in SoxMinorLeagues, not my typo, just copying; another repeat)
  20. I posted the schedule, and I suggest you look at it a little closer. They don't play a team with a losing record until August 15. You have 3 starters in your rotation with Wright, Brown, and Pavano out. That could make Texas, Baltimore, and Cleveland give you a harder time than you think. I stress the word "could". Nobody KNOWS what is going to happen, but I think your quick dismissal of the inherent danger in your schedule speaks volumes of your naivete. naivete-the state or quality of being inexperienced or unsophisticated, especially in being artless, credulous, or uncritical. Yeah, that word pretty much sums you up.
  21. That is exactly what I have been thinking all along. Boomer has shown some flashes of brilliance. If he can iron out the kinks and pitch more consistantly, how's a 1-2-3 sound?
  22. Obviously, you haven't bothered to read my sig.
  23. Arroyo doesn't have the stuff or control to be a closer. He would be better in long relief. Hand Timlin the ball, and try and do something before the deadline.
