Ok, so what's up with the Aaron Boone avatar? It leaves me with three possible conclusions. 1 - He's your favorite player of all time. Not likely. 2 - That represents your favorite Yankee moment. If so, that's sad because they didn't win the Series that year. 3 - You are here trying to start s***. Most likely because that is a big f***-you to Sox fans, and you are on a Sox board. So enough with the, "What did I do?", feigned innocence. If you were truly here to talk baseball, you wouldn't show up and post only when your team is doing well.

Today is July 5th and Philly is 8.5 games out. For our sake, and the sake of potential trading, let's hope they go on a cold streak because I'd like for Wagner to be in the market. And as far as potential cost goes, here is how I see it. What's more costly? 1. Losing some talent from a deep farm system 2. Finishing 3rd in the East this year, because that is what I see happening with this bullpen. Right now we have converted 64% of save opportunities (16/25), with Foulke going 15/19, Timlin 1/3, Embree 0/2, and Myers 0/1.

We still score the most runs, so IMO, pitching should be the focus first. I don't care if we pulled off the miracle of trading Brian Roberts for Bellhorn, we'd still blow the lead with our pen.

Nice job Buck Showalter, thanks for playing by the book........too bad Manny is only hitting .175 with 3 dingers against lefties vs. .310 with 17 against righties. Thanks for the righty......and the lead.

Decent outing by Miller, encouraging that he battled through a couple of jams (even if he did create the one in the first with the error). Stuff looked good when he located, but what's up with the 59 1/2 foot, shoe-lace high fastballs? I counted about 6 in the first 4 innings.
