No, SLG alone won't get the job done, but IsoP works pretty good. Anything greater than .200 from someone under 25 is actually pretty good.

Another preconceived notion? No surprise there. FYI, I'll keep harping on you about this until you stop making broad, sweeping generalizations about our fanbase. All fanbases are equally full of s***. All of them have complete nimrods that make it embarrasing to be associated with them. All of them have people capable of some pretty despicable behavior in the name of the rivalry. You don't get this. For some reason, you actually think the Yankee fan base is in some way different and superior to ours. And, even more hard to understand, you think that s*** will float here.

Your ignorance is really coming through here. But, you are good at that. The Sox got hot going into IL play. The way they were playing beats most baseball teams. Good hitting. Good pitching. Good leather. They've cooled down since then. But, that's baseball. It's not surprising that you think this, though. Anything that discredits their performance in your mind gives you some peace of mind. Even if it's wrong.

Honestly, I've seen little to your analysis of the game to put much credence into what you think. Everyone here knows we need pitching, and your motives here are very evident. You are just saying whatever you think will piss on the parade the most. You'll grow up eventually and realize that is a waste of time. Until then, you won't be welcome.

I'd rather they show some caution with him. That's a pretty drastic change on an arm that only started in the minors for a little over 2 years. Besides, it's not like he's ineffective in his current role.

It would take to long to stretch him out and for him to get into a rythm as a SP. Smoltz was a SP for 10+ years. After transitioning to closer, he still didn't switch back to SP half-way through the year when they needed pitching. They waited until the offseason.

Do you really think it matters that the KC bullpen sucks right now? I haven't thrown a pitch in competitive baseball in over 10 years, and I think I could work a 1-2-3 inning against our boys right now. Well, maybe not a 1-2-3, but you know they'd strand someone.
