  1. oh yeah totally, theo probably has a lock on them to stay with boston, theyre the future pretty much so.
  2. yeah abe alvarez to the twins, i was just mentioing shoppach since he's an easy prospect for Sox to trade off considering mirabelli and tek are goin nowhere
  3. Id be happy with a 3 team deal between the red sox, marlins, and Minnesota. that way the twins can have 3rd baseman in form of mike lowell, sox get AJ Burnett from Marlins and JC Romero from the twins--with sox offering package deal of bronson and embree to florida, and pacakage deal of alvarez and shoppach to the twins.
  4. its in here cuz rumors are abound that the sox are trying to get lefty reliever JC Romero and twins want in turn from the Sox a third baseman
  5. soxie just look at the stats i posted that our sox batters have against hendrickson, its a good lineup
  6. actaully checking his stats he has been in the majors before but just in spurts and keep dropping down to the minors. his over all career majors ERA is 5.40. Yankees will be facing Texas Rangers relief pitcher Benoit, who in 26 innings pitched, get this, his ERA is 0.69, walking 10 and striking out 27 batters in that span
  7. heres the pitching matchups, Mark Hedrickson has so far been good news for the Sox to face, he has a 1-4 record and "wow" ERA of 7.28 while facing our riverside sluggers Mark Hendrickson vs: Johnny Damon, 6 for 18 (.333 avg) 3 doubles, RBI, walk, 2 Ks Tony G, 5 for 12 (.417 avg) 2 doubles, HR, 2 RBIs, 2 Ks Kevin Millar, 6 for 19 (.316 avg) 3 doubles, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 3 walks, 2 Ks Doug Mirabelli, 6 for 11 (.545 avg) 2 RBIs Bill Mueller, 6 for 15 (.400 avg) 3 doubles, 3 RBIs, 2 walks Trot Nixon, 0 for 4, RBI John Olerud, 1 for 7 (.143 avg) 2 Ks David Ortiz, 3 for 14 (.214 avg) RBI, 2 walks, 2 Ks Manny Ramirez, 9 for 20 (.450 avg) 3 doubles, HR, 2 RBIs, 6 walks Edgar Renterria, 0 for 2 Jason Varitek, 3 for 13 (.231 avg) double, 2 RBIs, 2 Ks Wells on the other hand owns the D-Rays posting 9-1 record against them and very nice ERA of just 2.52, and a 3.52 ERA this season while playing in Fenway David Wells vs: Jorge Cantu, 2 for 3 (.667 avg) double Kevin Cash, 0 for 3 Carl Crawford, 2 for 14 (.143 avg) RBI, K Jonny Gomes, 2 for 3 (.667 avg) double Alex Gonzalez, 7 for 23 (.304 avg) 3 doubles, 4 RBIs, walk, 2 Ks, 3 SBs Toby Hall, 2 for 16 (.125 avg) Damon Hollins, 0 for 2 Aubrey Huff, 4 for 15 (.267 avg) double, RBI, 2 Ks Travis Lee, 4 for 12 (.333 avg) double, RBI, 2 Ks Julio Lugo, 3 for 11 (.273 avg) double, K Eduardo Perez, 1 for 6 (.167 avg) double, K
  8. Billy Wagner's contract ends this season and phillies are playing well to not be called off from playoff chances. Im thinking maybe boston could try and swoop up wagner in the offseason if not taken then of course. And Im very happy for Curt, i stood by their decisions and knew right away him as a closer would be good option for boston instead of over-using timlin. In 4 relief appaearances: 4 innings pitched, 1 Save, 3 Hits, 2 Runs, 5 Ks, and no walks--plus his ERA has lowered some from 8.15 to 7.48, and is bound to drop to Curt type numbers
  9. its very understandable, just call him the way royals fans do, much easier and cool boston soundin' nickname: Tony G
  10. well thank god for gabe coming back soon
  11. wow thanks for the update, though varitek should be playing instead, just that for whatever reason mirabelli has really been striking out a lot lately, dont know why that is... but hey get to see newcomer Hyzdu play, and Tony G is coming to town! sorry i am just lil excited about him coming to play, like i said in earlier posts my friends dad is a big fan of the royals and I have watched some of the games while hanging out, the man can hit and the man can defend.
  12. my best game yet by far was last fridays win against the yanks of 17-1 , i had front row seats in the right field box. It was such a rush bein able to rest my arm against the peskys pole, just 15 feet away from trot, taunting sheffroids when he'd start showing his anger by throwing his glove up in the air when the inside the park homerun happened haha, and god to just look down and see the warning track, it was purely a rush like no other
  13. remember got some men they can easily trade away with as in kelly shoppach, abe alvarez and the now defunt alan embree
  14. especiall performance he did against the brewers, he only lasted lil over 6 innings, but he amazingly struck out 14 of the 20 batters he faced. now that is sick to the max to have.
  15. the Orioles are giving up like 5 of their players for star pitcher Burnett and dud 3rd baseman mike lowell, this what they always do during trades giv up abundance of players for one or 2 players in return. they will have burnett, but still lowell will be another sosa on the bench and they will be losing two great relievers of Jorge Julio and Steve Kline
  16. k sorry lost in the moment, it soemhow keeps getting referred back to bellhorn should be off to another team haha. I def think Boston should instead send Youkilis to Minnesota than Bill Mueller who is already having a gold glove type year and also been clutch hitting when its bases loaded. With Bill Mueller most likely out of Boston next spring, Tony G could easily take over 3rd base than youk could since this guy is a 13 year veteran ballplayer.
  17. Cora made a great toss to Edgar to try and get the double play, but Edgar had dropped the ball before he could get it in his glove, giving Edgar the major league leading 18th error of the season.
  18. he is the backbone of the Patriots defense and has been since the mid-90s when he came on board. Even if he does got couple good more seasons in him, I think he would later on make one hell of a defensive coach.
  19. excited now for this news on boston.com reporting our boy Bruschi will indeed return to play come August  Report: Bruschi to play in '05 Veteran's return set at 90 percent By Jerome Solomon, Globe Staff | July 20, 2005 According to a report on New England Cable News last night, Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi, who suffered a stroke in February, plans to play this season. The cable network cited a source who said it would be surprising if Bruschi didn't play this season, placing the likelihood of his return at 90 percent. Patriots coach Bill Belichick wasn't available for comment, but team spokesman Stacey James said Bruschi hasn't told the team whether he plans to play or sit out this season. ''Tedy Bruschi will make his intention known when he is ready," James said. ''As far as I know, he hasn't discussed it with the staff as yet." Doctors cleared Bruschi for limited workout activities some time ago. He participated in team meetings at a June mini-camp, but did not take it to the practice field. Bruschi's agent, Brad Blank, said yesterday he had spoken with Bruschi in the last couple of days but the linebacker hadn't indicated he had made any decision about playing in 2005. The Patriots open training camp July 29 and will have to decide whether to put Bruschi on the active roster at that time. In mid-June at the team's ring ceremony, Bruschi said he was in no rush to make a decision. ''I'm just taking my time making sure things are right," Bruschi said at the Patriots' Super Bowl ring ceremony in June. ''Just living one day at a time right now. ''The organization has been so supportive of me, I'm not pressured with any timetable. My family and I are worried about my health, and we're just making sure I'm getting better and that's the only thing we're focusing on right now."
  20. you should know patriots are known to be a major threat as well when they got homefield advantage
  21. for offense, cora isnt your guy--but dude you gotta admit he made up for his offense last night, doing those unbelievable plays
  22. God I cant wait for August, the time that Red Sox and the Patriots play during same time is awesome
  23. i guess that is do-able since Tony G is very capable as well of playing 3rd base. Hell the guy is so talented that in his 13 year career, he has played all infield and outfield positions, something that is very good for tito to have on his bench.
  24. yea sure you can take him if you want, no complaints from us. Yanks have been doing great so far acquiring picthers with ERAs over 7 as in May and Redding, and they did all star pitching for your team.
  25. 2nd base next spring I see Alex Cora goin on to a new team with Tony G battling out for the starting second baseman nod against Pedroia/Ramirez. Sizzlin, it is more than likely youk will get the starter position of 3rd base
