  1. (see my posts where I have been praising Edgar for his playing that he does, im already a big fan of his)
  2. pic of bronson working out in front of me like 2 hours prior to the game. pic of paplebon prepping. cool pic of sox on the field after final out giving congrats.
  3. much much much needed day off for him and the whole team, I was so excited when I came home to hear Manny, Bronson, Mueller, and Millar were not traded, even tho the last 2 will not likely come back for 2006, it is a great thing for them to stay on for the Sox's 2005 pennant push
  4. and his batting average this season is at like .213--so yeah have kapler be the starting right fielder until trot gets back with cruz and stern as backups in the late innings
  5. his command does need some tweaking with the 5 walks, but man 7 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings in his major league debut does bode very well for him. I see him going back to Pawtucket thru early September, who knows maybe have come back as a long reliever until the end of the season, omg I cant believe how fast this season has gone by
  6. as well as coming out when the team really needed him, man i tell you the stadium was so loud I couldnt even hear myself talk when we saw the #24 come out of the dugout with a bat in his hand, go Manny!! and please dont pull this s*** again
  7. I think Tony G as well to start the rest of the season at 2nd base, and have bellhorn and cora as defensive replacements. The games that Wade Miller pitches should be the games Cora starts because for some reason he had played the best defense during Wade's shutout of the White Sox. Chris Snow of the Boston Globe had said that for a couple of weeks Tito will be starting Bellhorn and Tony on different days, basically a competition
  8. Red Sox do not face the Oakland A's again for the rest of the regular season
  9. like how Manny was given the second chance at Chicago White Sox, 3rd baseman dropped the pop up Manny hit and then next pitch, Manny had driven the ball into the bleachers--a lot of games, luck comes into play against the stats
  10. hey lets just look forward to the next series for both---Guardians at Yankee Stadium with Leiter, Mussina, Chacon--Royals at Fenway Park with Wakefield, Miller, and the return of Clement
  11. ah thanks sox fan, ill be sure to post more pics when possible. Ill try to get on next, a pic I took of Bronson working out like right front of me, grr of course i didnt go for my camera again when he came over to greet us fans including shaking his hand, hes a great guy and player, happy he is staying with the Sox
  12. 8 out of the last 10 games won and finished the month of July on a winning note
  13. as well as same exact "GM" who thought Tony G and Edgar need to be traded off to Tampa Bay, haha
  14. and just think with the rotation they have of Schilling, Clement, Wells, Wakefield, Miller and reliever Timlin, theyre gonna give him tips and such that will make him dominate im betting
  15. impressively enough Sox had actually finished July with a winning record of 14-13, early to mid July games were more or less bad to watch
  16. I was at the game today, by far best game ever been to cuz everything that we didnt expect, had happened---Id like to share this pic with you guys, it was taken during Papelbon's historic first trip to the mound on Fenway, fav pic of mine I had taken, cuz get goosebumps when see it now
  17. closest ball to me was to the right of the peskys pole, which was ortiz's crushed shot, landed like 15 feet away from me--thanks, it was a adventure taking the subway home, it was a packed stadium from 1st inning to last out in the 9th. Id like to share this pic with you guys, it was taken during Papelbon's first trip to the mound on Fenway, fav pic of mine I had taken, cuz get goosebumps when see it now
  18. Hey Im back from the game!! I got to say that was the most riveting tense game I have ever been to. Everyone was on their feet even during the 1st inning for Paplebon's flawless performance of 2 Ks and a opo up to left field. Lets just say in the 8th inning, my heart was going like a jackrabbit and I swear to god I couldnt even hear my own voice when everybody saw Stern goin back to the dugout and #24 coming up to the plate with a bat, that along with Curt's save in the 9th, I really wont forget
  19. johnny damon was ripping at Manny as well stating privacy issue is baloney and that no matter what gteam he goes to, he wont have a private lief, so he needs to grow up and deal with being the sports star he is
  20. Hey guys thought Id do this matchup now, gettin ready to head out the door to see paplebon's debut at Fenway Park, cant wait and Ill have my camera read for sure, sittin close to the bulpens. Today of course is the anticipated debut of Jon Paplebon who pretty much had dominated the AA league and in 4 starts with Pawtucket, he had a 1-2 record with a 3.57 ERA. The Sox will try to give the rookie run support as they face off against the Twins' Brad Radke who this season has a 6-10 record with a 3.88 ERA, doesnt walk that many only 12 this season thus far. He is 8-6 against Boston in his career, a 5.15 ERA. Unfortunately Manny wont be in todays lineup, which is really too bad since has a .369 batting average, and has belted actually 6 homers off of Radke. Brad Radke vs: Johnny Damon, 12 for 47 (.255 avg) 2 Triples, 3 Walks, 6 Ks, 1 for 3 SBs Edgar Renterria, 0 for 3, 2 Ks David Ortiz, 1 for 5 (.200 avg) HR, RBI, Walk, K Manny Ramirez, 24 for 65 (.369 avg) 6 Doubles, Triple, 6 HRs, 20 RBIs, Walk, 15 Ks John Olerud, 16 for 39 (.410 avg) 3 Doubles, 6 RBIs, 3 Walks, K Kevin Millar, 1 for 6 (.167 avg) K Jason Varitek, 4 for 15 (.269 avg) HR, RBI, 2 Walks, K Gabe Kapler, 2 for 10 (.200 avg) Walk, SB Bill Mueller, 1 for 6 (.167 avg) HR, RBI, K Tony G- 3 for 20 (.150 avg) Double, 5 Ks Alex Cora, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) Double, K
  21. Seeing Gabe back is so exciting its unreal. The Sox fans still showed class towards Gabe giving this big standing ovation that caught him off guard and very much appreciated, just like the ones Fenway has given towards Orlando Cabrera. He thanked them for the ovation by 2 pitches later getting a hit in his first at bat back with the Sox, 2 singles with 2 runs scored so far is boding well for good ammount of playing time he can get
  22. true but cruz will be coming to the Sox this week, so lots of moves Sox will be making back and forth from Pawtucket and Red Sox in next couple of weeks
  23. but who will get the boot to the minors or dfa when cruz comes on board?
  24. I just heard on the radio that Manny will also be given the day off today as well
  25. what major leaguer wouldnt, having to go to one of the worst teams overall
