  1. exactly its what they did to small but just started to get anxious and swinging at the first pitch they saw, they just need to do what they did in first 2 innings each batter have a long at bat. Chacon in first 2 innings (54 pitches) 3 Hits, 2 Walks, 2 Runs--I think Schil with lead will give him confidence
  2. one inning at a time, but yes me too
  3. take that schil settles down the side, 8 pitches including a great pick on bernie williams line drive hopper!!!
  4. nice work boys, Chacon ended up throwing 31 pitches his 1st inning 2 hits (HR), Ortiz's 9 pitch at bat walk
  5. alright Trot, keep it going make Chacon work!!
  6. Manny i f***ing love you!!!!!!!!
  7. very good point, because RJ does his worst mostly when posada catches him. Like how Wakefield is with Mirabelli and Varitek
  8. okkkk this Kevin Kennedy guy from FOX said "watch out Sox the Yanks are now rolling"--This guy is such a pushover, when the Yanks win he's their biggest fan, and Sox win he's their biggest fan--and I just proved my point, 15 minutes after he said that quote, he said the AL East winner will easily go to the Sox
  9. today's lineup sees the absence of Damon with him being out today with a sore shoulder, Gabe Kapler will take center field while Tony Graffanino gets the leadoff spot, John Olerud gets the start against his former team. For the Yankees, Sheffield is still out from a nagging hamstring injury with Matt Lawton back in right field, Jorge Posada who has the best success against Schilling will have the day off and John Flaherty taking over as catcher, and Robinson Cano is still at 2b...
  10. I hope Im right with this prediction as long as Curt gets good defense behind him, moreso than Wells had last night!! ugh---6 innings, 5 hits, 2 Earned Runs, 2 Walks, 7 Ks, while Sox do to Chacon what they had done to Small the first 3 innings of last night's game, make him work
  11. dude you cant anthing let go and try to get stats in your favor, jeez calm down... people checks your stats, before you sound like an idot, and no those 6 runs didnt happen over the first 2 games of the season: April 3 vs Boston- 1 Run April 14 vs Boston- 3 Runs July 17 vs Boston- 2 Runs
  12. pitcher vs batter matchups Curt Schilling vs: (career against Yankees in 13 games a 3-4 record with a 5.20 ERA, in Yankee Stadium in 3 games is 0-1 with a 3.72 ERA) John Flaherty, 2 for 14 (.143 avg) RBI, Walk, K Jason Giambi, 2 for 11 (.182 avg) HR, 2 RBIs, 2 Walks, 3 Ks Derek Jeter, 4 for 24 (.167 avg) HR, 3 RBIs, Walk, 9 Ks Matt Lawton, 2 for 8 (.250 avg) HR, RBI, 2 Ks Tino Martinez, 6 for 28 (.214 avg) 2 Doubles, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs, Walk, 11 Ks Hideki Matsui, 4 for 12 (.333 avg) Double, 2 Walks, 3 Ks Jorge Posada, 6 for 16 (.375 avg) Double, 3 RBIs, 2 Walks, 5 Ks Alex Rodriguez, 3 for 12 (.250 avg) HR, 2 RBIs, Walk, 5 Ks Gary Sheffield, 13 for 63 (.206 avg) 4 Doubles, 2 HRs, 8 RBIs, 11 Walks, 14 Ks, SB Ruben Sierra, 2 for 7 (.286 avg) RBI, K Bernie Williams, 7 for 21 (.333 avg) 4 Doubles, Triple, HR, 3 RBIs, 2 Walks, 6 Ks Tony Womack, 6 for 35 (.171 avg) Triple, 2 RBIs, 2 Walks, 11 Ks, 2 SBs Shawn Chacon vs: (career against Red Sox in 2 games with 2 Saves a 9.00 ERA, in Yankee Stadium in 6 games is 2-1 with a 2.00 ERA) Johnny Damon, 0 for 1 Edgar Renterria, 1 for 3 (.333 avg) Walk David Ortiz, 0 for 2, K Manny Ramirez, 1 for 1 (1.000 avg) Walk Trot Nixon, 0 for 1, K Jason Varitek, 1 for 2 (.500 avg) RBI, K John Olerud, 0 for 2, Walk, 2 Ks Bill Mueller, 2 for 6 (.333 avg) K Kevin Youkilis, 1 for 1 (1.000 avg) RBI Gabe Kapler, 2 for 4 (.500 avg) Double, 2 RBIs, K Alex Cora, 3 for 14 (.214 avg) 2 RBIs, 3 Walks, K
  13. Yes Sox still have his number, still in 9.1 innings against the Sox he has given up 6 Runs. He just was lucky the Sox bats had the day off in RISP
  14. luckily for us Chacon has faced the Red Sox before, Sox had played an interleague series matchup against the Rockies last season in which Chacon was used as the closer, in 2 appearances against the Sox he has 2 Saves with a 9.00 ERA Cora, Damon, Kapler, Mueller, Nixon, Olerud, Ortiz, Manny, Edgar, Tek and Youk all have at least 1 at bat against him
  15. best Sox pitching: Chad Harville in his first scoreless inning with 2 Ks and Jeremi Goinzalez pitching a scoreless eighth. dishonorable mention: David Wells in otherwise lackluster performance followed by Chad Bradford who couldnt getting any outs giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk defense: what cost the Sox the game best offense: Bill Mueller breaking out of his slump going 3 for 4 dishonorable mention: just 4 Runs on 11 hits, and 2 Walks. 11 men left on base altogether
  16. Cano bobbles the ball again , but still 2 outs with Manny on 1st
  17. Papi with a hitless night, Manny up, eh
  18. Mo vs Sox in 2005, 1-1 record with 5 saves and a 2.84 ERA
  19. Mo up protecting a 4 run lead, expected are Edgar, Papi and Manny--Id say Edgar should try and lay a bunt down to get on base ahead of Papi
  20. Sox need to improve on their defense tomoroow. Today we've seen Tony G throw the ball way off from where Millar was to get in the 1st run, Damon misplying outfield ball, Edgar misplaying the ball to let runner to get to third and posada to score. and millar staying down on the ground after stopping the ball from rolling past him...
  21. "huh?" well i wasnt, i was just pointing out a fact
