  1. you should really check your stats before going into assumptions, there has been in fact a kicker been inducted into the Hall of Fame. http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.jsp?player_id=203
  2. Vinatieri has made 244 out of 297 field goals a 82.2 percentage. Overall 1062 points scored on his kicks including extra points
  3. so says a jets fan whose kicker missed 3 field goals in the playoffs against the steelers--youre just saying so because you dont like the patriots and not even bother to check his stats
  4. how about hitting? Sox- 16 Hits. Yankees- 3 Hits, and there is also a man named Schil who quieted the Yankee fans by going 8 strong limitig the bats to just 3 Hits and 2 Runs
  5. whatever with all that, Sox win's today, seeing how Curt had pitched his best game of the season and how the starting pitchers have been for the Sox past couple weeks, will mostly likely in the next 21 games win more than half of those games. With a win tomorrow and a 5 game lead, chances of Yanks overtaking the AL lead would drop significantly. Sox still having 10 games left at Fenway. In other news, Cleveland has just tied up the game against Minnesota 1-1 with Coco Crisp's solo homerun in the 3rd inning
  6. how about Adam Vinatieri who is the most clutch and best kicker of the present and quite honestly of all times
  7. Yanks still have 3 games against the D-Rays this coming week...
  8. Tim McCarver never knows what he is talking about, he brings out the fun of games a lot of times
  9. Yankees have already released a statement, back in july saying they do not have intentions to renew Bernie's contract
  10. just because its on YES doesnt mean right away it will be an easy win, Yanks did beat the Sox on the Saturday game against Clement, bute hey whatever you want to say to twist around in your favor...
  11. well yes that was yesterdays game. We are talking about todays game where he hit hard off of yankees pitching, your point being?...
  12. agreed, Id like Sox to either go after AJ Burnett or Jarrod Washburn (Blue Jays and Orioles are interested in seeking him as well.
  13. Im glad as well for Mueller to break out of his offensive slump, going 2 for 5 in todays game. So far in the Yankee series, he has gone 5 for 9 (.444 avg)
  14. what a way to break out of a slump, first inning off of yanks other new ace chacon working a full count on 2 outs and blasting one off to left field, give Sox the lead theyd never relinquish overall he had 3 RBIs, HR with raking an RBI single in the 4th. September has always been the best month for Manny, hopefully this is the start of great offense by him in this pennant push...
  15. rightfully so---tomorrow a matchup of RJ against the work-horse Wakefield who just about a lot of times is a thorn in the Yankees' ass, last time even though it was a loss he had thrown a complete game
  16. they left after the 5th inning
  17. best pitching: Curt Schilling (2004 self is back) 8 innings, 5 Hits, 2 Runs, 2 Walks, 6 Ks best offense: everyone Tony Graffanino, 3 for 5, Triple, Run scored Edgar Renterria, 1 for 4, RBI, Run scored David Ortiz, 1 for 3, RBI, 2 Runs scored, Walk Manny Ramirez, 2 for 4, HR, 3 RBIs, 2 Runs scored, Walk Trot Nixon, 2 for 4, 2 RBIs, Walk Jason Varitek, 1 for 5, RBI John Olerud, 2 for 4, HR, RBI, Run scored, Walk Bill Mueller, 2 for 5 (this series is 5 for 9 in first 2 games after having just 2 hits in last 20 at bats) Gabe Kapler, 2 for 5, Double, Run best defense: Bill Mueller
  18. Jeter up, bats .218 with RISP/2 outs this season
  19. why did Paps pitch away from Bellhorn, he's not friggin Sheffield
  20. again f***ing McCarver, a very good solid outing by Al Leiter--5.1 innings, 9 hits, 3 Runs and a walk
  21. here's one on yes boards, the I hate Schilling thread, pathetic http://boards.yesnetwork.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61175
