  5. haha thats all for you Raffy. Orioles have told him to not come back to rejoin the team, his time is done with them.
  6. riiight and Yankee fans dont complain about their own players when they are having bad seasons need I say Wells first game at Yankee Stadium as a Red Sox, being booed and seeing signs with vulgar comments just because he changed his uniform
  7. ?? sorry but you're really dreaming, nomar is still to be considered as injury prone and plus he and the Sox organization left on sour notes at each other dont get me wrong i was a big fan of his, but its how things had went down last July
  8. Lilly did get a win last week against the Yanks going into the 7th inning giving up 3 Runs (2 ER) on 6 hits, 1 walk and striking out 6. hopefully he will get a 2nd win in a row against his former team

  10. Lilly Takes on Former Mates in Opener in Hopes of Playing Spoiler Toronto (75-77) at New York (89-63), 7:05 p.m. ET The Blue Jays split their last series, and 11 of their last 12 games have been decided by two runs or less. They'll try to keep that streak going in New York, where they've played to a 3-4 record this season. The three-game series starts Friday, and once it's done, Toronto will head to Boston for its final four road games of the season. Ted Lilly takes the ball in first game of the set against the Yankees. He'll try to fix his season's stats against his former team; the Yanks have knocked Lilly around twice, and they'll counter with an impressive pitcher. Shawn Chacon has pitched well for New York -- especially against Toronto, a team he's dominated twice this season. The Blue Jays are 5-8 against New York this year, but they have an extremely similar record against American League East opponents. Toronto is 35-32 against division rivals, while New York is 35-29. The Yankees are the only AL East team with a winning record against the Jays this season. Pitching matchup TOR: LHP Ted Lilly • 9-10, 5.46 ERA in 2005 • 1-1, 8.59 ERA vs. NYY in 2005 NYY: RHP Shawn Chacon • 5-3, 3.25 ERA with NYY in 2005 • 2-0, 1.20 ERA vs. TOR in 2005
  11. its funny huh Soxie that Palmeiro still thinks he can come back next year to play, haha, minor leagues wouldnt even want him. hey Sox 911, yeaa well my avatar is of chad harville, who i thought would help out the bullpen, but he has been so/so at best
  12. Paw Sox 3rd baseman Tony Schrager
  13. Yankees do not have a day off for the rest of the regular season Blue Jays Sept 23- Chacon vs Lilly Sept 23- Wright vs Downs Sept 24- Wang vs Towers Sept 26-30 vs Orioles at Camden yards then... Red Sox Sept 30- Wells vs Wright or Wang Oct 1- Schilling vs Johnson Oct 2- Wakefield vs Mussina
  14. this last 3 game series is the playoffs. one which will bring back the tension i felt last October, its exciting and tense at the same time, no sport else like this one. damn im not going to game 2, but still cool that i have tix for game 3, wakefield vs mussina is still a good matchup. Fenway Park will be rowdy as ever that is certain, even moreso if game 3 decides who wins and who goes home
  15. NFL WEEK 3 PICKS Atlanta vs Buffalo Cincinnati vs Chicago Jacksonville vs NY Jets Oakland vs Phildaelphia Tennesse vs St. Louis Carolina vs Miami Cleveland vs Indianapolis New Orleans vs Minnesota Tampa Bay vs Green Bay Dallas vs San Francisco Arizona vs Seattle New England vs Pittsburgh- ( i can dream right? :dunno: ) NY Giants vs San Diego Kansas City vs Denver
  16. lets just take one game at a time, best thing to do--tomorrow Bronson (who has been good as of late) vs Daniel Cabrera (has had fits vs Sox)
  17. say that again, Timlin last week against Toronto came in to close out the inning with 2 outs and first pitch he served up was a 3 run homerun to vernon wells, who like the d-rays hitters havent had success against him
  18. but still its not like the bullpen is a reliable one (except for mo) going into the playoffs
  19. that didnt last long, torre put cano back to batting 2nd. Giambi is still out. today's lineups Baltimore 1) Bernie Castro 2b 2) Melvin Mora 3b 3) Miguel Tejada ss 4) Jay Gibbons rf 5) B.J. Surhoff 1b 6) Javy Lopez c 7) Walter Young dh 8) Luis Matos cf 9) David Newhan lf NY Yankees 1) Derek Jeter ss 2) Robinson Cano 2b 3) Alex Rodriguez 3b 4) Gary Sheffield dh 5) Hideki Matsui lf 6) Jorge Posada c 7) Bernie Williams cf 8) Tino Martinez 1b 9) Matt Lawton rf
  20. that goes the same for chacon
  21. the bullpen has been faltering. Its just Tito needs to put his pitchers in at the right times, like dont leave bradford in to face lefties, myers to face righties, timlin in with inherited runners Timlin when he starts an inning cleanly his ERA is at 0.96
  22. everyone except Tito knows that this season you dont put Timlin on with inherited runners even with 2 outs, thats a no brainer
  23. now see Macha he's a manager Id like having, he was the manager for the Paw Sox when Trot played there
