  1. watch who you are ripping dude. Clemens is purely one of the best pitchers ever in the history of baseball. How is a 1.87 ERA for the 2005 overhyped?? yea thats what i thought
  2. its not like the Rockies are the elite of the National League and have a team of all-star players at their disposal (exception being Todd Helton). Im very sure theyd let bygones be bygones to be able to add on Kelly Shoppach.
  3. I see the likes of Abe Alvarez and Kelly Shoppach being trade bait this offseason maybe a 3-team trade deal could take place with Red Sox, Rockies, and an undisclosed team like the D-Rays to acquire Aubrey Huff, or even Milwaukee Brewers to acquire Lyle Overbay
  4. I dont think Jay Payton or Red Sox would really think about him coming back. with Payton's outburst in Texas, he pretty much had left on sour notes. I see him being resigned to the A's in 2006 or quite possibly flling the void that will be in right field of the St. Louis Cadinals
  5. guess what... that former article is believed to be a "tactical move" for other agents, not the truth
  6. thats all well and good, though gabe kapler's injury (ruptured achilles tendon) will keep him out for as long as a year or even more. I read in the Globe recently that Adam Stern will rejoin the team this spring as the 4th oufielder
  7. John Olerud will be 38 next year and like its been brought up numerous times, he is only capable now of being a backup, with his bad legs that deny him of speed nowadays. Scott Hatteberg is a good player but will also turn 37 next season, I want the Sox to sign a 1st baseman thats for long term not just a temporarily fix.
  8. (1) Millar will sign to another team this offseason (2) Papelbon will join the rotation next season get back to me with his stats with RISP
  9. Macha still looking for a new job
  10. my bad, i'll be ready to pray
  11. Ortiz in playoffs: 4 for 12 (.333 avg) 2 Doubles, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 Runs, 3 Ks Arod in playoffs: 2 for 15 (.133 avg) 1 Double, 2 Runs, 6 Walks, 5 Ks, 1 for 2 SBs
  12. it makes it better that the pats are playing at home, and not at mile high stadium
  13. dating back to the alcs against the sox in 2004, arod is batting under .200 in the playoffs
  14. clement is still owed $17 million, arroyo is just the club option on him--making arroyo the easier, more desirable, and less expensive one to trade off
  15. my team is the Angels, im not just saying that becuase white sox easily beat our boys this is what i was wishing for, sox getting eliminated in 1st round. yanks would also have to be eliminated in 1st round as well, to lessen the burden on us sox fans
  16. woohoooo a sox loss seemed to kill my wknd but then the Astros clinch the ALDS, Pats beat the Falcons, and ultimate icing on the cake: Yankees are eliminated!!!!!!!!
  17. if thats what it would take to get aubrey huff from the d-rays, or lyle overbay from the brewers. id have the front office do it. that would leave a sure spot for papelbon in the rotation. dont get me wrong i respect the hell out of arroyo
  18. The Sox will easily hand the starting nod to Triple A Dustin Pedroia over Soriano any day. Do you realize how much texas would demand in return for Soriano???
  19. oh alright, still this would be big news if indeed happened
  20. true... but you're missing our ace of 2005, Wakefield
