final stats for today's walkoff crazy win against the D-Rays 11-12. The Sox won their 2nd straight game, making their record at 8-16-1
Wells was touched up to say the least, giving up 7 Runs in 4 innings. Fingers crossed for his first start of the season, against the Blue Jays. Best pitching went to Foulkie, 3 straight scoreless innings now. Keep it up Foulke. Tavarez was hampered by shoddy defensive plays and the fight with Joey Gathright. Papelbon, not fully warmed up, came aboard after the ejection of Tavarez. Papelbon gave up 5 hits in 1.1 inning.
Offense (the expected opening day lineup): Coco continues to trump the naysayers "oh he cant hit leadoff, look at the stats!!" He went 1 for 2 with a walk & 7th stolen base of the spring. Mark Loretta followed suit going 3 for 4 with a walk, SB of his own (got on base first 4 ABs). Ortiz, Manny, Tek, & Nixon all chipped in for this slug fest. Hee-Seop Choi walked with the bases loaded in the 9th for the walkoff win.
