  1. ah well, if rotation stays healthy and there are no rain outs in between... Clement would be opening that series. Clement has done very well in his starts against Baltimore, should be a good one for you to be at. In 3 games at Camden Yards, he holds a 0.90 ERA
  2. yep Wells first start is on April 12. I believe the main reasoning is that since there is 2 days off until the home opener, Terry didnt see the need for a 5th starter until then
  3. I actually have the expected starters written down on my calendar for this month, eh Im an organized guy :dunno: . As it stands right now, Beckett will start the home opener. Which is very fitting, this is due to the fact they are using 4 starters until April 12. Wakefield's 2nd start will come game 3 of the Orioles series at Camen Yards.
  4. The Beckett Era is upon us, I'm stoked for tonight's game. Tonight's matchup has Loe who the Sox have only seen in 3 innings of relief, and Beckett has only faced 3 players in the expected Rangers lineup tonight. I got the faith it will be Beckett who comes out on top. Kameron Loe (2 games vs. Boston, 9.00 ERA---Career at Ameriquest Field in 25 games, 6-4 record & 1 save with a 4.58 ERA) 1) CF Coco Crisp -- 2) 2B Mark Loretta -- 3) DH David Ortiz, 1 for 2 (.500 avg) 2 RBIs 4) LF Manny Ramirez, 1 for 1 (1.000 avg) Double 5) RF Trot Nixon, Walk 6) C Jason Varitek, 1 for 1 (1.000 avg) RBI 7) 3B Mike Lowell, 0 for 1 8) 1B J.T. Snow -- 9) SS Alex Gonzalez -- Alex Cora, 1 for 1 (1.000 avg) Josh Beckett (1st career appearance vs Texas) 1) LF Brad Wilkerson, 8 for 31 (.258 avg) 2 Doubles, Triple, 2 HRs, 3 RBIs, 9 Walks, 16 Ks, SB 2) SS Michael Young -- 3) 1B Mark Teixeira -- 4) DH Phil Nevin, 3 for 12 (.250 avg) Double, Walk, 4 Ks 5) 3B Hank Blalock -- 6) RF Kevin Mench -- 7) 2B D'Angelo Jimenez, 1 for 2 (.500 avg) 8) CF Laynce Nix -- 9) C Rod Barajas, 2 for 2 (1.000 avg) Double, HR, 2 RBIs, Walk Ian Kinsler -- Mark DeRosa, 6 for 18 (.333 avg) 2 Doubles, Walk, 3 Ks EDIT: D'Angelo Jimenez will get the start at 2nd base, giving rookie Ian Kinsler the day off.
  5. Honestly Wake last night never had the knuckle down, the 60 mph balls were staying right up in the zone. On WEEI they were comparing catcher's first starts catching for Wakefield, Mirabelli in fact had 3 in his first outing. Another X factor is that Wakefield has never done good against Texas really, especially at Ameriquest field. That dry air is not to like Wakefield's liking. I'm gonna try and give Bard the benefit of the doubt, because one start doesnt mean "get him out of here"
  6. Man little Marco Scutaro with the walkoff win. Goes to show that indeed pitching & solid D can stop this lineup. It was helped by another un-clutch Arod moment with 2 men on and he grounds out to end the inning
  7. Mr. Clutch comes up big again
  8. So Im guessing that the 2007 $17 million option isnt going to be picked up
  9. How true and last season, didnt Cano make a couple of errors that allowed the opponent's game winning runs to score?
  10. Loretta follows with an RBI Double, 10-4. Now lets put this game behind and get ready for the Beckett debut
  11. because youre acting like im in panic mode. I was just commenting on first 2 games, but in your view I think he's starting off with a bad season. I know what Manny will bring in the end, 40/130 ------------------------- EDIT: Welcome to Red Sox, Wily Mo Pena,
  12. calm down, i was saying these first two games. Doesnt actually mean i think it'll be the whole season
  13. full moon, Seanez with bases loaded-- 3 straight outs
  14. Hansen & DelCarmen will be up in no time if we see any more of the duo Riske & Seanez
  15. Trot making sure it wasnt a lost inning
  16. Harden, damn now Zito can do some learning from him. He strikes out the side with 2 men in scoring position
  17. yeaaa so about Riske... ST stats and now :banned:
  18. 2 games in relief he had allowed 4 Runs (3 ER) in 3 innings
  19. jesus christ everybody. I said "first two games", you honestly all think Im breaking into panic mode thinking it will be a whole season deal
  20. At least we know we have a good shot at winning tomorrow's rubber match with Beckett taking the mound
  21. Manny's bat is looking slow in the first 2 games
  22. well same should be said of having to avoid Clement facing Toronto. Currently he's set to face them 4 times through next month
