  1. Your home opener is against the friggin' 100 loss Kansas City Royals, thats more of a gift series as any.
  2. Considering his past AL performances, Spring training, and control issues even in Texas.. I'm just not buying that. It's a shame that Lenny DiNardo has to be sent down on April 12. He deserves that bullpen spot more, let alone it would make the bullpen stronger
  3. About Seanez, how short of a leash does Theo have until he just jerks Seanez out of here? This guy cant even be trusted in a 10-run lead.
  4. Explain how he'll get the AB's then that Theo wants to get him at, 300 or so. For this year they made the trade so the Vs lefty lineup could be powerful, not just because of what is expected for him in 2007. Ok but its not helping him that much if he's collecting dust on the bench. This is moot so far as he will get the start later on today against Bruce Chen.
  5. Of course the calls are coming in now to have Trot start full-time against lefties after his big 2 hits in tonight's game off of a lefty reliever. Well ok to those callers, with no consistent AB's & time on the bench for Wily Mo... we might as well give him a label that reads "Jay Paton in Waiting." After awhile even the calm collected Wily would get agitated. How else can you groom him into being a slugger that Theo imagined when he made the deal?
  6. yes what a double play turned by Cora. Good outing by Foulke, allowing a single in an inning of relief. BTW 3rd double play turned by Sox this night, wouldve been 4 if not for Newhan's speed.
  7. Seanez in 2 innings has allowed 4 runs on 7 Hits, 2 Walks. the guy cant even pitch right when they are up by 10. I just dont see him staying here that long at all
  8. Memo to Theo: get rid of Seanez now!!!!!!!!!!
  9. undoubtedly Clement continues his dominance of the Orioles & especially at Camden yards. Its now 20 scoreless innings at "Fenway South" dating back to last season. Fingers crossed for his next start of the season... Toronto
  10. damn Youk, caught in no-mans land
  11. Yoooouk, his bat is coming together as well
  12. try a 6 pitch 1-2-3 inning, including his 4th K of the game. So far he's off to a great 1st start of the 06 season following Schilling & Beckett
  13. today's lineups, from WEEI Boston 1) Coco Crisp cf 2) Mark Loretta 2b 3) David Ortiz dh 4) Manny Ramirez lf 5) Trot Nixon rf 6) Jason Varitek c 7) Mike Lowell 3b 8) Kevin Youkilis 1b 9) Alex Gonzalez ss Baltimore 1) Brian Roberts 2b 2) Nick Markakis cf 3) Melvin Mora 3b 4) Miguel Tejada ss 5) Jay Gibbons rf 6) Kevin Millar 1b 7) Jeff Conine lf 8) Javy Lopez dh 9) Ramon Hernandez c
  14. Clement's got his sinker back that's been getting rave reviews since the start of spring training. I bet we're going to get a good look at this infield defense tonight. I also have the feeling Manny's bat is going to come alive at Camden Yards (Fenway South).
  15. Ok... I said is that he's worth a shot to compete for a job this july, not saying he's a sure bet to be a great kicker for us. Way to contradict there
  16. Baltimore is a team Hendrickson seldom pitches well against. Against Boston, thats a whole other story... Anyone else remember his start when Boston had scored 6 runs before he even got an out?
  17. Lets add another one in there for the fun of it, Magglio Ordonez (2) leading off the 9th made it a 7 HR night at Ameriquest field. 15 in their first 4 games
  18. I was going over team stats and all I can say is damn, the Detroit Tigers lineup is not one one to be reckoned with. In the first 4 games they have clubbed 14 HRs. Six of them have come tonight against the Rangers' starting pitcher RA Dickey in the first 4 innings. Chris Shelton- 4 Carlos Guillen- 2 Marcus Thames- 2 Brandon Inge- 2 1- Curtis Granderson, Ivan Rodriguez, Magglio Ordonez, Criag Monroe
  19. Haha Ortiz calls Wily Mo, "Little Papi"
  20. Hey you know, Gramatica was a former pro-bowler with the Bucs. Maybe this could be one of those great under the radar signings the Pats have been known for in recent past. Worth a shot to have him compete for the job this July
