  1. Its more than likely DiNardo will be seeing more starts, I see Wells being out for around a month. DiNardo's next scheduled start will be this saturday, Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. By the way: love your new avatar  . I knew right off Loretta was going to make a good impact on his time up here in Boston. Now I'm not saying because it happened, but when he stepped up to bat... I was right on saying outloud "here comes his first HR".
  2. my boy Loretta!! somehow in the back of my mind, I knew you would put the Sox out on top big props to Youk as well for hustling
  3. eh, he's been 7 for 21 in the 6 home games he has played. Thats good for a (.333 avg)
  4. our offense is clicking like days of yore
  5. Its also been easily forgotten that Clement was rocked in his 2 starts before that Tampa Bay game. Those 2 bad outings came against Chicago & NY.
  6. true, as I was relaying why Beckett is the better pitcher than Clement in the 2nd half. But yes, Beckett & Schilling could be a 1-2 force down the stretch.
  7. Rightfully so, Beckett is the guy you give the ball to in crunch time (September). 23 games in that month, he holds a 2.48 ERA. Also his ERA after the All-Star Break is at 3.26
  8. Trot is back today, thats a shot of needed offense today. DiNardo gets his first start of the year (2nd career start). He is mostly known for being a groundball pitcher, which i have confidence in. He has faced Seattle in 1 game of relief.
  9. That it is the guy even got jessica alba. She later said in an article that the relationship was really just sexual, nothing more
  10. I think he meant Wakefield, who has looked great his last 2 outings
  11. 9 men left on today, 29 in the first 3 games. The Sox are 3 for 23 with RISP this series (2 of those hits being from Gonzo)
  12. clearly it is. Jerry Remy from NESN keeps saying, 94-97 range
  13. ok but not being in 1st place doesnt stamp out playoff chances...
  14. I thought I said he doesnt catch Wake, besides I will accept him getting every 5th day off Top to bottom a lineup of: Stern, Cora, Ortiz, (slumping) Manny, Youk, Snow, Bard, Gonzalez That's a lineup that gets pitchers smiling big & wide. My main point is that Loretta & Lowell were rested on same day as Varitek, weakening their offense. That rang true today.
  15. yes, smart guy, he doesnt. But there's no reason to have Cora in place of Loretta, and Snow in place of Lowell in same game.
  16. Huh? The only regulars in the lineup were Youk, Ortiz, Manny, & Gonzalez. This lineup was the worst we've seen this season.
  17. ok... Terry: Well we really didnt have a lot of opportunities to score runs :wtf: :what: Funny he didnt mention anything about the lineup that was put out there
  18. game over, the Boston Backups shutout
  19. Snow, Pena, Bard in the 9th. I'll bet that Tito decides to keep his regulars fresh and doesnt call anyone to pinch hit
  20. 7 men left on base Don & Jerry, stop praising Pineiro for his efforts against the Red Sox today. He only faced 3 regulars in the whole lineup, 2 since Manny has been an automatic out to start the season off
