  1. What a great game for those fans to be at, I wouldve waited too for the after game standing ovation for Curt --------- About Paps, its such a thrilling feeling to see him walk of the bullpen gate. Every pitch he throws, you see flashes coming from everywhere in Fenway. I have no objection if he stays as the closer
  2. Paps has now worked 3 nights in a row and tomorrows a day game. I dont want Tito to "Tom Gordon" him and have him be tired by season's end/playoffs
  3. Haha yea, "we have to find a new 2nd baseman, Loretta is a hack in our order" As I said in those game threads, a .300 hitter is a .300 hitter Id also like to know where the Trot haters are now. Something along the lines of "Trade him"--"Trot never gets a big hit this season" :harhar:
  4. Lowell, being the 3rd best power hitter of the roster, should bat behind Ortiz. 1. Youk LF 2. Loretta 2B 3. Ortiz DH 4. Lowell 3B 5. Nixon RF 6. Varitek C 7. Pena RF 8. Snow 1B 9. Gonzalez SS
  5. Schil for 200, first 8 game winner in the AL... make it so ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6. They could go with a 4 man rotation through the Toronto series: Tampa Schilling Wakefield Toronto Clement... Beckett Schilling Following that is a day off, 3 game series against Destroit, then another day off
  7. Lets conserve Paps, dont want to over-use him Other news, Seanex could get a save here EDIT: Nevermind as Paps comes in to get the last out. I would leave Seanez in there, but its Carl frigging Crawford
  8. I thought he's been getting regular work. This was his 4th straight day of relieving, and 11th game overall in May. He appeared in 13 games in April
  9. Johnny from Burger king is back Foulke kept exhanging words with a disgruntled Sox fan behind the dugout. Foulke then proceeded to punch the phone (Tavarez-much???). Guess what, speculation now that he hurt his hand. nice going dumbass. Towards Foulke, not the fan.
  10. sad part, Tito would rather have Seanez in a close game in the 8th inning than Foulke continue it
  11. 2005 Foulke, dont you dare come back
  12. #150 of his career Last season total, he had 8 HRs, 58 RBIs This season through May 26, he is at 7 HRs, 29 RBIs Projected: 20-25 HRs, 90-110 RBIs------------------------ EDIT: Tampa Bay defense!!
  13. I would love to see, trade Clement for prospects & lefty specialist. Sox can throw some cash considerations to make it sound more appealing. Then add in Lester possibly being called up, and Clemens making his return 1. Schilling 2. Beckett 3. Clemens 4. Wakefield 5. Lester
  14. one word, Wow Heres a guy attempting a big comeback, he's pitching very well. A comebacker hits the knee he has had the most trouble with. This might be the career-ending injury... If so, thanks for everything Boomer
  15. who said no one wants Lester up here, besides A700? Good number of members on here, Boston Globe, and boston herald are all talking about high likelihood of him making his debut this season. Let alone, this month has him tearing it up in Triple A after being held to limited pitch counts that made his stats skewed
  16. Ok so we trade Trot for a starting pitcher? Then we will have starting pitchers: Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, David Wells, Tim Wakefield, Matt Clement, and ?? Theres also Roger & Jon Lester in the mix... I just dont see Sox trading him for a starting pitcher, or even trading him at all
  17. Youre talking power, he talking consistent like making contact. His .313 avg ranks among top 5 in Sox ranks, has a .424 OBP.
  18. They sat him because he was battling a sore wrist, nothing more
  19. oh s***, Dustan Mohr is gone sooner than I hoped?? Sweet dealings there Theo. Keeping Van Buren around until I guess Coco comes back will help out our bullpen ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20. About Lester... Today's Boston Globe
  21. Take out Clement, then its a nice rotation. I just dont see him being here with the team through 2007 if he still continues to struggle.
  22. Just how you guys kept gloating about Proctor, taken to school against Boston this year. Farnsworth oooo... hack was treading on thin ice as well against Boston
  23. Foulke isnt near the form of the dominating closer he used to be, but can still be a solid det up man. If it aint broke, dont fix it. Papelbon will stay closing out the 9th for this season.
