  1. I know he's your boy, but you dont think he instigated the fight even a little? Knowing full well he wasnt even tagged and already collided with Barret, he slapped his hand on the plate and was starting to talk s***. Combine that with the Cubs' woes, I could see why that broke the straw for Barret.
  2. eh more Manny that needs a breakout game. Despite the .268 avg, Ortiz has a commanding 14 HRs and 37 RBIs
  3. gamebreak: Barry Bonds has #714 :thumbdown
  4. hail the conquering hero, A-clutch
  5. "The Yankees are sure going to miss having Sturtze around in their bullpen"
  6. Who knew that Tom Gordon has turned out to be the better bet in the past offseason? :dunno:
  7. Wagner, you suck. Nice job Willie Randolph of waiting too long. It was obvious to replace him after the 4 pitch walk to a backup catcher.
  8. wow 3 error game, 31 in first 41 games. The Royals have somehow transferred their defensive prowress to the 2006 Yankees.
  9. Its quite pitiful, coming in today they have had 28 errors in their first 40 games. The left side duo of Arod/Jeter have combined for 11 errors, compare that to Lowell/Gonzo at just 4. 2 errors in todays game has it now even more horrendous 30 errors in 41 games, they love racking up these mult-error games . Mark Arod/Jeter duo up now at a combined 12 errors. Arod is 2 away from his 2005 season mark of 10
  10. Pujols through May 20 has 20 HRs and 50 RBIs
  11. per rotoworld damn...
  12. damn papi, a ball like that wouldve easily went past the dunkin donuts sign in Fenway
  13. is the gas in my stove still on? I came back from getting a snack and Clement is at 2nd base leading off
  14. Its 1 game... I wouldnt actually say its time to start worrying about him having a cold streak
  15. In other news, Theo is in preliminary talks to trade Clement to a minor softball team for extra equipment. The Sox feel that the extra equipment will make an immediate impact
  16. Alright Zito?... Sox pregame report, Gordon Edes of the Boston Globe re-iterated that Barry Zito is rooting for Barry Bonds to break Aaron's record
  17. Im looking forwrad to the day where our outfield will be like this Manny Coco Trot/Wily Mo Kapler instead of: Manny Wily Mo Trot Mohr Harris
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2451143 Pavano to have elbow surgery, this will set him back to August/September. Knowing him, Id say there's now a high chance of him being out for the whole season. Is he still actually getting paid?? He hasnt pitched in a major league game since June, 05
  19. Im for Choi being called up. I supported the Jt Snow signing at first, that being because I didnt realize how great Youk would be, so that was a perfect spot for Snow to have. However... Choi's bat is more lethal to have as a lefty pinch hitter. He also supplies equal if not better defense than Snow does right now.
  20. Correction: Wily Mo was set to be the starting left fielder for the Reds this season. The Reds needed starting pitching more than they needed offense, a trade they couldnt pass up. They cant have 6 outfielders. Mohr will not be sitting on the bench when Crisp returns, because Mohr will be DFA'd or sent to minors. According to Chris Snow of the Boston Globe. Kapler is aiming for a return next month, Willie Harris will be the one sent packing
  21. Beckett will also be entering free agency in the next year or so. The Marlins know that a pitcher of his caliber demands top dollar, something they wont do. Their 25 man roster consists of $24 million combined. Alex Rodriguez earns more than that team in 1 season.
  22. didnt you know that Rivernator knows more about our prospects/players than we do? Like how Lester's struggles in beginning of season... no wait even though he's showing that same brilliance again of last year. This coming after being lifted from his strict pitch count Sox management put him on to start the season. Loretta & Lowell will be busts. Or how about how Wily Mo is just being prepped for a trade for starting pitching, which I guess is why we traded Arroyo. Yeah its not like the Sox are preparing him to someday soon take over right field (Trot in contract year) Etc.
