  1. I realize that. Im focusing rather on the tired bullpen
  2. Lester digs down to get out of the inning with a swinging K 80 pitches Papelbon is all but sure to have the day off, he needs it. His last 2 outings has seen him throw 71 total pitches
  3. 76 pitches through 3.2 innings just what our bullpen needed after being taxed yesterday
  4. We were just bashing of how he supposed right away that all of RSN wanted to boo him first chance we all get. Course that is not the case now No one on here really wished that kind of harm to him
  5. Loretta is solid with RISP/2 outs. Coming into today he held a .333 batting avg in that situation
  6. for the majority of fans booing, its all about what uniform he was wearing
  7. eh I wasnt really bothered by the booing of Damon
  8. well theres goes the dumb ass notion that pedro wont be cheered
  9. My thoughts & prayers go to him & his family
  10. Only during games held at National League ballparks I just think theyre trying to give him as many ABs as possible, so hes not sitting on the bench a lot.
  11. typo, i didnt read the first couple of posts. I just got from work, and i was hearing on the radio that it was Navaro, and a PTBNL. I didnt get the updated info until now
  12. The PTBNL is former Met, starting pitcher Jae Seo
  13. Seanez has now allowed 10 of 14 inherited runners to score... Id rather have Van Buren up here
  14. I like how the matchups end up being Rookie vs Rookie Intimidation vs Intimidation Veteran vs Veteran This will be Lester's 3rd start out of 4 that he opposes another rookie. His next start is facing Florida, it could become 4 out of 5. I havent seen anything like this before
  15. Wily Mo in his rehab will be taking some time also to get to know 1st base, making it easier for Sox if they need to give Lowell or Youkilis a breather. Currently Loretta is the backup 1st baseman
  16. But the Sox cant hurt Mark Hendrickson anymore
  17. some MSNBC writer is calling out for Sox fans to boo Pedro http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13563958/ This is the headline: They did the same to Damon — it would be an insult to do otherwise :what: 2 totally different situations. Youre not even a Red Sox fan, you are a writer from New York. The f*** you know whats best and what we should do. Have fun hearing about the Pedro raucous standing ovation
  18. Lester's command has been getting better with each start- 4, 3, 2
  19. Well you were clamoring for the Sox to trade Lester for Willis About Ellisbury, its still looking like that he will step into the leadoff/center field role when he's fully groomed in the minors. Coco will more than likely revert back to left field like he did when Grady Sizemore came in. Coco & Beckett are both 26, not in their mid-30s. They wont be the same players in 10 years, only can get better. Becketts adjusting to the AL while Coco is bouncing back from a hand injury. That must have some affect on his bat, right? Ah sorry but youre stuck with the "not as good" Coco Crisp for 4/5 more seasons. A guy who is in his prime is really going to pull down the team, damn you Theo IMO Beckett wasnt the immediate pitcher that Sox acquired after Pedro left. Wells & Clement were the 05 replacements for Lowe and Pedro.
  20. true but still... just maybe he's showing that he cant be an effective reliever that the Sox can rely on. 3 inherited runners, 2 runners of his own scored off of him with no outs recorded I love walkoffs dont get me wrong but... if he held the line, the bullpen wouldnt be taxed going into series against the great offense that is the Mets
  21. so the big factor in not voting for papi for the MVP was the fact that he's a DH.... try that excuse again, because he's setting himself up for the same stats, walkoff hits, yadi yadi yada oh yea and again I say, f*** Seanez Javier Lopez is making a really great impression on me. Kudos to Theo so far, Id like to see him get some more innings
  22. What I believe what seabeach & jsing are trying to point out is the lack of "power" corner outfielders that are in the Sox farm system. Let alone drafting potential big bats are crapshoots because they could turn out to be just career minor leaguers
  23. so... Farnsworth is getting 3 years/$18 million huh? At least Gordon was lights out as the 8th inning man for Mo
  24. In the minor league section, there is a thread on Mark Wagner. Not yet saying he's going to be the next catcher, but is ranked as top catcher we have in the farm system. Hes having a very productive season in Single A Greenville. Probably headed for a promotion sometime this season.
