  1. Yankees are trying to bring Javier Vazquez back to New York
  2. Solid move by the Nats What a steal for Toronto. Morrow has more potential than League
  3. Darren Oliver signs with the Texas Rangers Id say at this point, Seattle ia definitely the favorite to win the AL West. The Angels havent gotten much done, except for adding Hideki Matsui and locking Abreu up for 2 years. They have lost Chone Figgins (Mariners), John Lackey (Red Sox), Darren Oliver (Rangers) and also lost Jose Arredondo to Tommy John Surgery. And wasnt able to jump in the Cliff Lee/Roy Halladay talks
  4. I would agree with you Dipre... but ya never know, the Mets afterall swindled the Twins by getting Johan Santana for Phillip Humber and Carlos Gomez
  5. Lowell was coming off an injury marred season... and wait so is Beltre who dealt with an injury to his nuts this past season
  6. Lowell in his last season with the Marlins put up 8 HRs, 58 RBIs in 150 games (.236 avg) (.298 obp) (.360 slg) (.658 ops) Aside from his contract year in 2007 (.378 obp), his other 3 years he has put up obp's of .339, .338, and .337
  7. I just dont think the Sox have another big signing in them. Heard on weei that their current payroll sits at $162 million, that doesnt account for raises in salary for the younger players. This is the highest the payroll has been since 2007. Going forward it will be trades and small signings
  8. Doesnt anyone remember that when the Sox first acquired Lowell, there was same resentment that is being shown to Beltre?
  9. Obviously the Red Sox wouldnt get Adrian Beltre if Lowell was still on the team. Thats a given
  10. Whats changed from earlier today to now?? Still short a player either way Oh and psst its December, not f***ing April
  11. Is that starting now or for the beginning of the season Lol at Gom for saying Sox dont have a 3rd baseman now... as its already been posted, Youk is a great defender at 3rd
  12. Dave Roberts (3 years/$18 million), overpaying for Aaron Rowand
  13. I highly doubt Hanley gets moved in the near future
  14. Right now this is the lineup, according to Sports Tonight 1. Jacoby Ellsbury cf 2. Dustin Pedroia 2b 3. Victor Martinez c 4. Kevin Youkilis 3b 5. David Ortiz dh 6. JD Drew rf 7. Mike Cameron lf 8. Casey Kotchman 1b 9. Marco Scutaro ss
  15. Who would win in a race, Kotchman or Mirabelli?
  16. I didnt say I was all for it. How Theo keeps touting "bridging the gap". Maybe theyre willing to stick with Kotchman up until trade deadline as a fill in, before a potential Gonzo deal In that case, Im surprised they didnt garner any interest in Nick Johnson
  17. Which is why Im thinking its more likely that he is ok with Kotchman at 1st as a fill in.
  18. Marlon Byrd is perfect for Wrigley Field
  19. Just realized... we have 3 pitchers who started and won deciding games of the world series (Lackey in 2002, Beckett in 2003, and Lester in 2007)
  20. One of Theo's best moves was not giving in to Pedro's demands after the 04 World Series
