    I hope something or someone lights a fire under their asses. 12-12 since the All-Star break. KC & Baltimore, both teams are supposed to beatable. At least the Sox should take 4 out of those 6 games before they head out on really a brutal schedule

    I just dont see the Sox looking at Trot keeping his role as starting right fielder. He has a tough time staying healthy, 4 or 5 times he has been on DL last 3 seasons. He's not expected back until late August which is best case scenario. Theres also the power drop. Disconcering to any team for a corner outfielder & their every day #5 hitter 2003 134 games- 28 HRs, 94 RBIs 2004-2006 264 games (avg 88 games a season)- 26 HRs, 137 RBIs

    Great start by Jason Johnson today, very much unexpected. I liked how he had quickened his delivery to home plate. He was also making good use of that sinkerball. Jury is still out on his next scheduled start, facing his old team the Tigers at Fenway

    At least his performance wont be as bad as it was for Shea Hillenbrand in a double header last September against the Sox. He was like 0 for 7, all times whiffing

    That new york post article by that guy who looks like a hobo is bringing up how Papi is just a DH. The only DH I can think of who had power numbers like him would be Edgar Martinez. Even so his clutch factor carrying the team is undeniable. His numbers in the clutch, well, its hard to find anyone who matches what he has done for Boston

    Manny's doing nothing wrong at all, he's currently riding a 21 game hitting streak and has just been mashing the ball left & right. I hope this wont be a rehash of last year, part of downfall was that Manny & Papi were the only ones producing from mid-September to the playoffs

    Its funny how Johnson giving up 2 runs off of 2 hits in 5 innings is being criticized. It only looks more glaring because of the Sox getting 2 runs off of a pitcher who has a 5.76 career ERA
