  1. thanks for the info jsing Its tough to see this is how his season is ending. Get better Spann and just keep your head in the game
  2. Not only that it would be the 4th straight come from behind win and last time we had won a game by more than 1 run was on July 25. If the D-Rays & Royals are playing them like this, how does that bode for their stretch of mid August to early September?
  3. he's still on the DL with his neck injury
  4. 4 games against the Royals.. the Red Sox have outscored them just 11-8
  5. He was sent down (3 weeks) because they had a more stable rotation
  6. Well at that time you said he wouldnt even sniff the majors until 2007 or even later than that God youre acting like he's a carbon copy of 2006 Jeff Weaver
  7. Just the same as power sluggers, none of them break out like Albert Pujols did. Papi didnt break out until he came to Boston. Manny's first season saw him go just 8 for 57, etc. Its all about rookies having to adjust the majors.
  8. Ok as far as I know it wasnt straight up for Lester. The Stros supposedly asked for a package of Lester, Hansen, Delcarmen following that: there would still be 2 empty spots at the back end of the rotation more prospects would have to be sacrifced for relief pitching help
  9. The year is not a lost cause until the Sox are completely out of the race
  10. That says to me that you think he's going to be like this forever
  11. Send him down now? What is your 5 man rotation until Wakefield comes back in late August/early September? Schilling Beckett Wells (if his knee can hold up) Johnson Snyder/Gabbard/Pauley How is that rotation any bit better without Lester?
  12. Well I was asking him what he wants the rotation (excluding Wakefield, Clement) to be now since he wants the Sox to send down Lester
  13. Its his 1st season and now youre saying automatically he's going to be like this for the rest of his career.
  14. Ok Sox send Lester down, with no moves in the future for starting pitching... do pray tell what is the 5-man rotation
  15. back to back 1-run games Hansen will end up widening the margin
  16. Do the Sox have the luxury of sending him down?
  17. hansen needs more seasoning in triple A
  18. Not good news for the Twins http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AgriveszTefYD1n5q.xZX3IRvLYF?slug=ap-twins-liriano&prov=ap&type=lgns
  19. Coco leading off (starting to heat up since All-Star Break), Youk batting 5th (best hitter on team with RISP, RISP/2outs) Maybe its not because Lowell being out that Tito had to work with the lineup, maybe he believes this order might stick
  20. Wakefield wasnt having a career year in 2004. His career year actually happened back in 1995, his first year as a Sox. 16-8, 2.95 ERA, 6 complete games --Schilling is in contention for come back player of the year, standing as pure ace of this team --Papelbon is one of, if not the best closer of 2006 --Nixon only played in 37 games in 2004
  21. Mets lock up long-term the best young left side of the infield http://sports.aol.com/mlb/story/_a/wright-signs-55-million-extension-with/20060806185009990001?cid=1690
  22. His fourth run given up on the season thru August 6, yea its all downhill from here...
  23. A Yankee team without Rivera someday will just seem odd
