  1. 5th all time in strikeouts should also stamp his name in the HOF
  2. Guys like Pedroia, Youk, Beckett, Ortiz have been commenting on the signings this offseason
  3. A guy that isnt in the know about what his team has been doing, shows he just doesnt care whats going on. He will leave as a free agent after 2011 season, or a trade next offseason. I say that because this year he is expected to get close to $10 million in arbitration
  4. He finished 5 votes shy.... just so happened there were 5 blank ballots:thumbdown And who the #$%^ gave David Segui a vote? 1456 games, 1432 hits, 139 homeruns, 17 SBs. His last 4 seasons he played a total of 193 games
  5. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/12/2010-mlb-free-a.html I wouldnt mind Eyre on a 1 year deal
  6. Right now matching the 2 teams up. Yankees have the edge in lineup and closer (though how long can MO pitch like hes in his 20s?). Rest of the bullpen has the Sox with a slight advantage. Sox have a leg up on the starting rotation and definitely the bench
  7. This team really is all about versatility Youk can play 1st & 3rd on a gold glove level, he could even play left field if the Sox are ailing at any point. Cameron, Ellsbury and Drew all are able to slide to another OF position. V-Mart can play catcher and 1st. Scutaro can play ss, 2b and 3b.. and now they have Hall who can play most of the infield as well as the outfield
  8. AFC WC: Patriots over Ravens AFC WC: Bengals over Jets NFC WC: Cowboys over Eagles NFC WC: Packers over Cardinals AFC D: Chargers over Patriots AFC D: Colts over Bengals NFC D: Cowboys over Saints NFC D: Vikings over Packers AFC: Chargers over Colts NFC: Cowboys over Vikings Super Bowl: Chargers over Cowboys
  9. Re-Hash Lineup 1. Jacoby Ellsbury cf/lf 2. Dustin Pedroia 2b 3. Victor Martinez c 4. Kevin Youkilis 1b 5. David Ortiz dh 6. Adrian Beltre 3b 7. JD Drew rf 8. Mike Cameron lf/cf 9. Marco Scutaro ss Bench- Jason Varitek, Bill Hall, Jeremy Hermia, and Jonny Gomes/Fernando Tatis type RHH outfielder Starting Rotation 1. Jon Lester 2. Josh Beckett 3. John Lackey 4. Clay Buchholz 5. Daisuke Matsuzaka Bullpen Tim Wakefield Dustin Richardson Manny Delcarmen Ramon Ramirez Hideki Okajima Daniel Bard Jonathan Papelbon
  10. Bill Hall added to the bench, very nice indeed
  11. Lineup 1. Jacoby Ellsbury cf/lf 2. Dustin Pedroia 2b 3. Victor Martinez c 4. Kevin Youkilis 1b 5. David Ortiz dh 6. Adrian Beltre 3b 7. JD Drew rf 8. Mike Cameron lf/cf 9. Marco Scutaro ss Bench- Jason Varitek, Casey Kotchman, Jeremy Hermia, and utility infielder spot is a question. I wouldnt mind them bringing back Nick Green on a 1 year deal. Starting Rotation 1. Jon Lester 2. Josh Beckett 3. John Lackey 4. Clay Buchholz 5. Daisuke Matsuzaka Bullpen Tim Wakefield Dustin Richardson Manny Delcarmen Ramon Ramirez Hideki Okajima Daniel Bard Jonathan Papelbon
  12. http://soxblog.projo.com/2010/01/rumors-of-a-thr.html You actually think Lowell wont be traded? Texas, Oakland, Seattle and Minnesota are options to trade him to.
  13. Sox want Lowrie to have at least a full season in Pawtucket. He needs to prove he can be healthy
  14. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/baseball/red_sox/view/20100105reports_sox_land_3b_adrian_beltre/ According to this, the payroll is now over $170 million
  15. As much as some people might dislike this signing... couldve had Casey Kotchman as the starting 1st baseman!! Very ugh Ill gladly take 1 year of Beltre, maybe even 2 with the option year being just $5 million. He will give 20-25 HRs, 75+ RBIs while playing gold glove D. Slick infield of Youk, Pedroia, Scutaro and Beltre
  16. I still think they are favorites for the wild card. Steve Buckley on Sports Tonight several nights ago was getting too much heated up about the offense, saying "god this is a 4th place team". Put down that reefer there buddy haha
  17. Great signing, 3 years/.$15 million
  18. I think the Sox would sign Beltre even if Lowell is still on board
  19. Buchholz pitching in cavernous PETCO Park and in the NL... yeah Id say he would thrive and then some
  20. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/BD256B912DF26E4C8625769D0017B0DF?OpenDocument Cards and Holliday are closing in on a deal
