  1. By the way, I am hoping Hansack steps into our rotation in place of Julian Tavarez
  2. Ok but its not like that right now... so why should I worry, which is what you want Sox fans to start doing to make you feel better
  3. Where did I say dominant? I'll re-read my post several times in your honor... huh as it turns out I never said domiant. I said Innings, which is what he does best... he gives the team (gasp) innings
  4. Ok but we have more than 2 starters that can give good innings. Wakefield has averaged 6.5 innings while a guy named Matsuzaka had 2 starts with 7 innings apiece Sorry forgot which thread Im in, the Yankees rotation will settle down and cruise all the way to October!
  5. I do believe there will still be games like there were in the first 5, only yankee i know of that is confident in this starting staff
  6. And now Mussina & Pavano are both on the DL... the rotation is anywhere but top notch or even league average, if you get 6 innings call it a blessing
  7. So they will be fine even if the starting pitchers consistently cant get late into the game? Just cuz he's equaling up the large ammount of bullpen work, doesnt mean the bullpen will be spring chickens once October rolls around
  8. Well.... Im sorry this is too easy
  9. The Blue Jays offense will need to be "05 Red Sox" if they wish to contend. The starting staff is really currently Halladay & Co. Burnett has gotten hit hard in his last 2 starts so thats not helping him any. BJ has blown 2 early saves (now heads to the DL) and their bullpen has already been hit with the loss of Justin Speier to the Angels. The past 2 years the Blue Jays have been the thorn in our ass, maybe 2007 will be a better year vs Toronto
  10. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/ Has Tito gotten the hint? Wily Mo was supposed to start today's game in place of Coco Crisp. he's still scheduled to play tomorrow if they get the game going and will also start Tuesday when Gustavo Chacin starts
  11. bummer, I bet tomorrow isnt looking good as well
  12. The starting rotation thru the first 10 games has just been sick. They right now singing the tune of a combined 2.66 ERA. Schilling has rebounded nicely from opening day with 2 great back to back starts Paging Terry Francona.... Wily Mo Pena has had just 4 pinch hits through the first 10 games while Coco is 4 for 36. Ok we're talking sub .100 soon enough. So you do the math what should be done. The offense since coming back (not including game vs Felix) has just been on fire outscoring by 32-4 in their last 3 wins. Safe to say Ortiz can only go up, so AL be afraid Beckett vs Santana, a duel I like seeing but confident Beckett can improve his early season recortd to 3-0
  13. Wang, Mussina, Karstens, now Pavano... well at least they have the healthy warhorse in Andy Pettitte
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/espntv/espnShow?showID=SRDA Funny sportscenter clip featuring David Ortiz, a Yankee hat, Jorge Posada, and Wally the Green Monster
  15. rotoworld Oh well I guess
  16. So Yankee offense, can you guys bounce back from... *cough* Ramon Ortiz? Sorry I had to, its just so surprising he held Arod & the Yanks down like that
  17. Aaron Bates is a slugging 1st baseman with a lot of promise, I believe soxprospects.com likens him to a Justin Morneau type. No doubt I'll be tracking his progress up the minor system
  18. Coco's hearin some footsteps
  19. With Boston: Wily Mo (87 games)- 83 for 279 (.297 avg) 15 Doubles, 2 Triples, 11 HRs, 42 RBIs, 36 Runs, 20 Walks, 90 Ks Coco (113 games)- 113 for 441 (.256 avg) 24 Doubles, 2 Triples, 8 HRs, 39 RBIs, 60 Runs, 33 Walks, 73 Ks, 23 SBs
  20. Hansack now has 2 straight starts of 10 Ks? Damn lets get this train rolling
