  1. well that lead lasted long... paging Devern Hansack
  2. Hinske taking it to his old team! He's off to a great start off the bench for us
  3. Tavarez had a 1-2-3 inning vs Texas also, im taking this one with a grain of salt
  4. attention, Mark Buehrle is 3 outs away from no-hitting the Rangers. He is at 95 pitches Due up Matt Kata Nelson Cruz Gerald Laird http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=270418104&page=boxscore&refresh=0 EDIT: Matt Kata strikes out swinging, 2 outs away Nelson Cruz strikes out swinging, 1 out away Laird is out, Mark Buehrle has no-hit the Texas Rangers!! He had 1 walk, so close to a No-No
  5. updated stats 5 appearances-- 3 saves, 0.00 ERA 5 innings, 6 Hits, 0 Runs, 1 Walk, 2 Ks
  6. :papelbon: Paps strikes out the side... again, 9 Ks in 4.1 innings. 3rd save on the season, now 38 in his career, by season's end he will be in the top 10 in franchise history for saves. Bob Stanley is at top with 125 saves Ortiz now stands at 236 career dingers, like to see him hit #250 at Fenway Wakefield has just looked outstanding thus far, 3 ER in 20 innings pitched! Tomorrow is my birthday and im going to watch tavarez vs Halladay... god are you kidding? lol
  7. Lowell!!!!!!!!!! thats how you break up a f***ing no hitter something i hate about IMs/boards, no one can tell when sarcasm is in the air or not
  8. David Ortiz robbed of a hit. Ohka no hits the Sox through the first 4 innings, just 53 pitches. 2nd game in past week the Sox are in danger of being no hit
  9. Cy Ohka deals 38 pitches through 3 innings
  10. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6702882 The Phillies have decided to make Brett Myers a 7th/8th inning reliver, once in awhile getting save chances when Gordon is out. Jon Lieber will take his place in the rotation
  11. Well yea the rotation was bad because Beckett got trouble learning the AL (youre honestly expecting "2005 part 2"??), Schilling missed a good 4 or 5 starts, Wakefield an innings eater missed almost 2 months, Clement was out after like May, Wells was off & on until he was traded to the Padres at the end of August. the Sox had an ending rotation of Schilling, Beckett, Tavarez, Snyder, Hansack
  12. Jacko, regardless he is a Sox killer. All teams have trouble with certain pitchers, even if some pitchers are just league average or even worse He is now 6-0 vs the Sox with a 3.83 ERA. Last year vs the Sox he was 5-0 with a 3.43 ERA
  13. Ok two of your posts have been contradicted. The Sox "packed" it in last year because they had injury after injury that started at the All-Star break Yea who are we kidding this Sox rotation is so bad, one of the worst when the season ends. The Sox offense (39 runs in last 5 games) ran into Gustavo Chacin who has easily replaced Ted Lilly as the new Sox killer Blue Jay pitcher. But yea the lineup will do the same as we saw last night. Im surprised you arent betting your life savings on a 100+ loss season
  14. I never said Im worried about Dice-K's pitching. I said Im worried about the Sox offense behind him thats scored just 5 runs in his first 3 games
  15. Chacin is an established #3 pitcher on a big league staff and has been giving the Sox fits since 2004. He was also facing a lineup that had no Drew, Youk batting 5th, and Coco batting 2nd. Its was also a road game, thus far where the Sox have done very bad Wright is a Double A pitcher who is coming off of a ho hum start vs the Guardians, now has to face a Sox offense that has been deadly in its first 5 games outscoring the opposition 39- 6 There's a difference, a small one, but a difference
  16. Matsuzaka is not well liked by the Sox offense. He is now 1-2 with a 2.84 ERA, 24 Ks in 20 innings. But the Sox have just backed him up with a grand total of 5 runs, maybe they'll score enough vs the Yankees when he starts next... maybe
  17. Manny is key matchup vs Frasor, 3 for 8, 2 of those hits are homeruns Guess not, and Youkilis hacks at the 1st pitch in a 1 run game in the 9th inning. Tito I better see him batting 2nd tomorrow and Drew 5th
  18. Im trying to understand it myself Jacko... I guess Tito thought "What should I do to get him out of his funk? Hey I know I'll put the limited pitch taking Coco in front of Ortiz and put Youkilis down to the 5 pot" EDIT: Coco with 2 hits, huh I guess keep it up
  19. ok now hinske pinch hit for coco? guess not, yes coco try bunting with 2 outs in the 8th
  20. Dustin Pedroia, Julio Lugo, Coco Crisp for the 8th... um Tito Id like JD Drew or Hinske or even both to pinch hit Okajima is nasty, starts the inning off with back to back Ks. They could start using him in setup if he continues to pitch like this
