We have been saying since during the offseason, from scouting reports, he has a high 80's fastball that he likes to leave up in the zone. As I said you didnt want to listen, touting he'll be a good 4th starter for you guys while striiking out a lot of batters and just be an innings beast! Was it 5 years you have him for? I cant wait for the Sox to face him on Saturday
Up until yesterday he hasnt had an extra base hit. The last 2 games he's 3 for 5, 2 Doubles, 2 RBIs, Walk. He has been seeing good number of pitches as well. Those 2 days off and working with Magadan the hitting coach seem to be paying off
How do you walk him? Its not like he's Wily Mo taking walks (which he did against NY last nite ). He's had good plate patience of the strike zone since his college days. He wont K that much, draw some walks and will make the pitchers work. To date he's struck out just 4 times and been walked 8 times
These are today's lineups. Wily Mo gets his 2nd straight start in center field

And how about that Yankees' bully?... If my house is on fire, Im not going to put it out with gasoline
They were facing the tough ass lineup of the Yankees, its hard to ever keep your guys in check. Ease up before you proclaim its all downhill from here for the Sox starting pitching
Arod grounds out!!! Sox sweep at Fenway for first time in 17 years
Kilo mojo did not die 5 game win streak, improving their record to 12-5. Maybe its just Fenway (or the Yankees pitching) but the offense seems to be coming around.
For player of the game... its a draw between Lowell's 2 HRs, 4 RBIs (2nd HR gave them lead for good) and Pedroia with the dazzling play to stop the Yankees from tying. Matsuzaka had his first hiccup of the season but he still showed me moxie, it still wasnt affecting his manner or poise on the mound. He'll get his chance to put up better stat line game 1 at Yankee Stadium
Tomorrow is a rematch of Wakefield vs Ohka, oh yea
